- Here's a 2A03/VRC6 remix of Chaos King from Deltarune! You may be thinking that the original is already 8-bit. Well, now it's even more 8-bit. Joke's on you!
I've often had to make a difficult decision on whether to use the 2A03 or the VRC6 chip for my arrangements. The former challenges me to work within the confines of 2A03 ("true 8-bit") limitations, whereas the latter allows for more creative freedom. I really couldn't decide which to go with here, so I did both! The VRC6 remix starts at around 1:50. Enjoy! :)

What if I tell you that the cover has two variations based on hardware?
The first half is the default NES, with just the 2A03 chip.
And for the second half they added the Konami VRC6 chip, allowing for the new sound.

i like how the intro of the song is exactly the same, but when it gets to the part that has non-8-bit parts it's still fully 8-bit.

these 8-bit covers just keep getting better
edit: elaborating on what makes this better, the first half is a solid remake of the original song where it stays 8-bit even after the intro, but second half of this is honest to god mind blowing, with delicious arpeggios and spins upon the original song's chords that i would have never thought of. i can tell that just so much love went into this one.
I wondered why you labelled the cover both 2A03 and VRC6, but then 2:04 kicked in and holy crap that transition is so creatively done

Released Insanity Yes, in the main song there is Lancer, but in the VRC6 rendition, Bonetrousle is added. It is represented by the the purple notes to the right starting at around 2:42

Wow, just... wow. This is absolutely amazing. I'm getting a bit of a feeling similar at points to FF3 NES, and the later half just... WORKS. Definitely a great use for the VRC6 chip, you can hear it really well in that later half.
GOSH branflakes, your covers just keep on getting better and better. The VRC6 arrangement is absolutely INCREDIBLE holy gosh heckin' heck. Honestly, that arrangement of yours might be the best track I've heard done with the VRC6 chip. Gosh dang.

Fun game: put your mouse under the piano and dodge as many notes as you can. Don’t go past the image in the corner. Stay in between any two notes whenever possible. If you end up outside of the notes, stay as close to them as possible until you can go back in. You have until the title disappears to find a spot to start
I've listened to this about ten times at this point and it doesn't get old.
This is one of few remixes where the chord changes are actually GOOD and WELL DONE

Very nice. The first half kind evokes a Metroid on NES feel for some reason. When you switch over to VRC6 it sounds really great as well. The extra layer adds to it in this case and doesn't make it sound too busy. I've not heard the original yet, but I like your version. :)

Chaos King except it sounds slightly more 8-bit, and the backing tune is more sticcato, and some funky stuff happens half way through that seals the impossibility of ever hoping to play this, then near the end some more layers are added and some notes are changed and instead of ending on the same note as the original it continues onto the first part

it goes off a "bit" but you managed to get it done well also don't be afraid to make changes to make it sound better at a point you could have used a lower tone instead of higher it would have sounder way better
