I love how people seem to be shocked that cage fighters often do violent things in ( and out of ) the cage. These are not normal people, they are modern day gladiators. Of course they are violent, they are there because they so good at being violent. It would be a fairly dull sport if the fighters where timid and shy!

Fighters need to keep going until the ref stops it.
It's not their job to check on the opposition fighters safety.

When Herb Dean is a ref its not that simple! Yes the rules say fight until; the ref stops it but if he is making a bad call and you can see you foe is coming to real and life threatening harm should you just keep swinging blindly?

But all too often fighters have come back due to being let back in the contest.
