I may be more of a Pokémon fan, but I really hope this doesn’t somehow decrease Digimon’s fanbase. I love both franchises in varying amounts. Jaiden might have start off her Digi journey somewhat sour, but at least she’s giving it another chance with an actual beginner friendly game.
Anyone that's in Digimon's fanbase are in it because they like the anime/games. If anything, her video may have possibly turned people off from playing the games if they didn't have plans on doing so already since, like she said, many of the games have their own issues. Hopefully she does do another Digimon game that she likes, though.
-In general Digimon is not a videogame franchise, is a toy franchise, you don't have to play the videogames to "enjoy" digimon is more like Transformers, we have manga, anime, videogames, the card game you can start wherever you want -And tbf pokemon feels the same for newcomers, I've seen a lot of vtubers struggling with an 18 type chart with inmunities, weaknesses, resistances so I get that entering digimon could be hard
not really, most pokemon games play the same way so any of the mainline games are good to try out the series, and it´s not confusing or hard to get into it because of how easy most of the games are it´s the main reason why it´s such a huge franchise, because it´s easy to get into Digimon is just not game focused, and a person trying it out is better off watching the show
the most ironical thing is, jaden didnt want to play cybersluth because is focus on rpg and story, and she loves pokemon that is focus on rpg and story
Yeah, Digimon HAS been tanking lately. Falling way behind the Pokemon franchise in the race for popularity. I'd say it's kinda like competing in a three-legged race when your partner is an old man with a prosthetic leg. When comparing the two, I'll be the first to admit, Pokemon is a LOT easier to understand. Digimon has so many little things that don't make sense, and it makes it harder to enjoy it. I watched the Digimon movie as a kid, though. At least, the first part of it. My brain worked a little slow back then, so it left me utterly mystified.
Pokemon is not easy to understand, is just that you've been in the rabbit hole forever, also Digimon is not Pokemon's "rival" Digimon is Tamagotchi's rival In general, Pokemon and Digimon have completely different genres, worlds, lore, even tone pokemon motto is that everyone could be your friend, in digimon is literally survive the digital world, is just that many people expect like a DC/Marvel relationship, different companies but same vibe, instead they are like Final Fantasy/Monster Hunter
I mean Digimon is ok… But I prefer Pokémon more
In My Opinion Digimon Is All Over The Place. 😑
Yea Pokémon better
I only know Pokémon.
