40 Minute Fat Burning Indoor Cycling Training: Random HIIT Workout - Passo Pordoi

This workout is ideal for a Wattbike, turbo trainer or even the rollers. The training session is based on the Passo Pordoi in Alta Badia - a climb which is part of the route of the Maratona dles Dolomites.

Well, I opened my computer, logged in to youtube, checked your channel and there it was! Sorry, what was the question?
Love this workout even better than the previous efforts. The camera was steadier and didn't have to hear the labored breathing, other than my own. It was difficult at times to hear Dan's instructions over the music. These workouts are better than the spin classes-even though they include the fairer sex as participants.
Is there a compare list with the effort lvls and % of ftp?
bababaanarama Such a list would be helpful to me. Perhaps Si can put his scientist's lab coat back on and break this all down for a simpleton such as me.
As usual, brilliant. I get a lot out of the spin sessions, but the training videos with scenery are the ones I return to time and again.
One of the hardest, if not the hardest from GCN. Love to do it every now now and then.

Loved the session ! Good timing on the edit when the lead cyclist drops the hammer and you're in the middle of your interval - extra motivation to try and catch up and keep the effort up ! We've been really lucky with all these new sessions this year - keep up the great work guys !
Love the variety on this ride, and that he keeps it a bit of a mystery until 39-60 seconds out. One of my favorites from GCN.
I am not an outdoor cyclist. I just love my stationary spin bike and explore UA-cam videos to guide my workouts. I just finished this one. My legs are noodles and I might die. If not, I will be back tomorrow for more. Excellent stuff!

I've been doing TrainerRoad for the past year or so, and whilst it's done me no end of good, I've started to plateau out with my FTP and lose interest a bit - I'm sure I'll go back to it in time. In the meantime, I've recently got into the GCN workouts and am really enjoying them. I think the virtual partner and encouragement is beneficial - I feel like I'm sharing the pain, and can't let my partner down. That 40 Minute Fat Burning workout was the best so far. Brutal! Love it!

I completed the Etape Du Tour 2018 based on GCN videos, not having much time to train due to work and all manor of things the only time I could find was late evenings and the boys and girls of GCN keep me on track with the training until just before the event I had some time to put in the longer rides. Whilst I am not saying I would recommend this sort of training for everyone it worked for me, thank you very much.

Chose this workout to learn how to ride on rollers. I fell off three times, I'm glad I watched the how to ride on rollers before, the tip with doorway is gold.

Hi Lloydie, I've recently returned to cycling after a long layoff. The weather here in Herefordshire is soggy, so I've been going through the sessions on my indoor set-up on a dumb trainer. I have to say that this work-out is an epic! My legs are still fizzing with the effort and I have created a saline lake under my downtube! I've managed to complete a dozen GCN sessions now and they really do help to keep my motivation in a zwift free zone. Fingers crossed Christmas deliver something a little 'smarter' for my sessions when the weather is calling me to ride outdoors less!
