I don’t find that scene hilarious or funny, I found it to be action-packed and exciting. Whenever I put this scene on, even as kid, I would always have fun to it.
Seriously, one of my favorite soundtracks ever. Hans Zimmer's songs were basically the music of my childhood. They captured so much excitement and energy, and brought me to places I could only dream of...
I wasn't expecting the finale to be here as well😅. I love the transition, though. It went from Moses and Rameses having fun, to Moses saying goodbye to him.
Unfortunately they cut this track of the Ost which I really don't know why they did that. This track is one of the best and I find myself humming to it every now and then.
I first discovered Hans Zimmer's name through The Dark Knight and Inception. I then noticed he'd written some of my favorite film scores, and now he's my favorite composer of all time. The man is just incredible.
im a HUGE hans zimmer fan, and when i started to listen to the song, i was like: "damn this song is good, finally i found another GREAT composer other than zimmer" But when i scroll up: "Obviously, couldnt had been any other composer."
Hans Zimmer is a genius when it comes to writing music for history movies, especially this one, Gladiator, and Pirates of the Caribbean. If I were to make a real life movie about Ancient Egypt (there are still no good ones to date) Hans Zimmer would be my first choice for composer.
5:28 is so much different from the final take that they used for the ending of the movie (when they used a reprise of Deliver Us rather than The Reprimand). I expected to hear the movie version that they used, but the original take played instead, a take that I had never heard before. I feel like my ears were blessed. I was all teary eyed. Thank you Hans Zimmer for this masterpiece, and everyone else who aided in the production of this gorgeous film

This is taken from a collector's CD that was sold at the time of the film screenings, called "Selections from The Prince of Egypt (Collector's Edition Music CD)", used as a promo to selected tracks from the three CD releases of the film. Exclusive to this release is, of course the Chariot Race (with an additional earlier version track of the film's final scene) and It Is Only Beginning... (aka Nile of Blood). There are many copies of it sold in eBay, just look for it ;)
The Chariot Race cue itself is the one from the film, but the track also has an additional (bonus) cue that is an earlier version of the film's final scene. So, yes :)

This is one of the best music in dreamworks other than spirit, ROTG, Sinbad and many other more! its amazing!!! did anyone actually noticed how this song sounds so similar to the soundtracks to the movie Sindbad Legend of the seven seas?
Atheists can come up with reasons that make me think how stupid can you get too, but that doesn't mean Atheists are inherently stupid, and it doesn't mean Christians are inherently right, or vice verse. Can we just agree that there is not 1 collective that just gets it? At the end of the day we're just people, and believing and not believing in God isn't going to save anyone from being smart or ignorant.
But thats how the Egyptians were portrayed in the Old Testamentet, still not as very negative as the Philistines (who might have been remnants the Minoans who escaped to Canaan as a result of the Thera Eruption and the Myceanean invasions of Crete) and the Babylonians.
Strekoza - It says online that the Collector's Edition only has 6 tracks. It the earlier version of Chariot Race like a bonus track on the CD that isn't advertised? That's the one most people want to find since it's that ending cue from the film.
I'm also anti-christian. but honestly, somehow I love this film, and the scores. The story moves me a lot, the suffering, hope and loss... and there scores simply make it soooo perfect. one of Hans' masterpiece. (I respect Bible as a world's classic, important literature, not a piece of trash...so that's why)
I can agree with you here. It seems many in this world have become stubborn to the point that only one option is acceptable to a person, and these options are always in black and white. There never seems to be a middle ground (in this instance, finding science and religion able to coexist), but I absolutely wish many could see it.
Hey! This song wasn't included when I got the album. Grr.... I want this one! Anyone know where I can get it? Was it recently added to the album or something? I didn't have this one with the rest of mine... I had all the other songs, but not this one!
+TigersChickensHorses I'm in the same boat, there's also another video on UA-cam with the nightmare sequence as well as the nile of blood, all of which were not included on the soundtrack :(
AUGH! THAT MAKES ME SO SAD! I LOVE this movie and I'd LOVE to have the nightmare and the river of blood soundtracks with the rest of my collection. Beautiful composition by the talented Hans Zimmer along with his students, Harry-Gregson Williams and John Powell. Why is this not available? *Cries* ;)
Hans Zimmer was apparently more skimpy with the drums early in his career. Of course now he's a percussion freak, so skimpy by his standards is average to the film industry. Wonderful piece. Zimmer's a great talent.
Try to play the end of the movie on mute and this alternate version of the ending, both synchronized... I have no words! That's the music that should have made it to the final cut!
I don't know if it should be in that order, but yeah, those three are my favorites of the genre. I love an orchestra fused with the sounds of the Middle East.

The chariot race scene was just hilarious, but the music made it so epic!
I don’t find that scene hilarious or funny, I found it to be action-packed and exciting. Whenever I put this scene on, even as kid, I would always have fun to it.
