I liked the original painting a lot actually, but the restoration is great too 😁😁
I agree, love this channel and his work, however and see if you agree, that "aggressive" shape lends itself more to solid colors I liked the white a lot but I would pass out if I saw it in flat black with gloss black hardware, excuse me I need a moment
I would have loved to see him add to the paint job by making it more glow in the dark or something.
wow, whoever painted this one must have really loved it! i hope they enjoyed playing it, and i hope the bass enjoys its new life! that wood grain is outrageous.
I love the different discussions on the taste - I absolutely love the original hippy pattern but the bare wood is outstanding for me as well!
I think getting the neck done would have been the final beautiful touch it needed :)
Shame, it was brilliant
super sad for me too 😢
He's too young to understand what's important, or why things are special, we were all there at one time. I personally can't watch him destroy anymore guitars heh, I just watched 3 of 4 videos where he sucked the life out of something unique. Hopefully he'll learn to clean and repair without destroying what makes them so interesting
元のサイケペイントもモッキンの派手な見た目に合ってるなと個人的には思いましたが、ナチュラルも本家のお高めのモデルっぽく渋くていいですね。
Love the natural wood guitar! What a beauty.
I know everyone's saying to sand down the neck too, but honestly, the cream and dark wood look really nice together! Reminds me of a 50's "Woody" Stationwagon, or even a winter cabin in the snow haha, I could really see it growing on me.
Excellent job as always! You do amazing work, and inspire a lot of us to refurbish our own guitars!!
The only thing I would have done differently was to strip the back of the neck as well in keeping with the bare wood look. This thing looked lovely once you got through with it and it sounded great, too!
Of all your restorations ,this turned out the best!!!! That wood body is beautiful!!!! Solid Mahogany!!!;
I love watching these videos, and usually agree with the decisions. But I love that psychedelic paint job. It's very well done, compared to most of the homemade paint jobs here. I'm appalled by what some people do to their guitars! 😱
I never knew Fernandez was building B.C. Rich clones. Learn something new everyday I guess
Very nice work on the restoration.
Just look how easily that fresh paint just comes right off
Great restoration, but would be great if put translations of what the materials your using are and subtitle it with your steps
I can understand why you completely sanded the body, but that - to me - would've meant sanding the neck as well. This looks like a mismatch, even though that body looks great!
i love your restorations they are always amazing but damn, the original design wasn’t actually bad at all, especially with the glow in the dark. but still a good restoration
Kind of a shame. I love your restorations, but I feel like this one should have stayed with the original paint. It had so much character.
Allucinante sopra a tutto quel pastrocchio c'era un meraviglioso strumento con le venature del legno stupende il suono corposo a di nuovo a respirare 💯
I'd have a lot more respect if you'd just refreshed the hardware and put a couple coats of clear over that paintjob.
Love the natural wood look...what a transformation
Great work as always! But I agree with the others about stripping the paint off of the neck as well for a consistent look. I don't like painted necks anyway!
nice, a bc rich moching-bass clone. i don't see to many of those around
The old paint reminded me of hide's mockingbird from X Japan.
Beautiful and thanks for sharing this 😊
Hello! But, why you didn't wipe paint off the neck?
Incredible job
1. Take guitar with unique and unusual design.
2. Make it look simple, boring and not eye-catching like any of millions of guitars
3. PROFIT??
we can see this on any of the rest restoration videos on this channel.
Beautiful job, a work of art.
I liked the white. But i understand that once you burned through it there was no going back. Gotta watch those edges!
For the first time I liked the "before" more than the "after". Find me musician painter!
that original painting is not bad actually..but after seeing that nice mahogany, natural finish is the way to go
BC Rich had their own thing. Good job
the original painting was unique........ for me a mistake.....
Hello, super nice restauration, the natural finish is even better than the previous painting. Well done Man, see you next video!
Looked much , much better . Before it was touched .
Terrific project, incredibly impressive. Try some flat-wound strings next time, just for something different.
If you couldve removed the custom paint while preserving the aged to perfection cream I wouldve agreed. But the psychedelic paint job was pretty damn interesting
Great job in this bass, I enjoyed your videos!!!
previous owner was an X japan fan
That paint job was beautiful. Why not keep it and just buy another with natural finish? Such a shame.
Looks great, but another personal artwork gone...
It kinda reminds me of Hendrix's painted Flying V 🙂🙂🙂
But it really needed to be restored...By you 🙂🙂🙂
Needed to sand down the neck as well. Other than that, strong work, as usual!!
Great job. That Fernandes definitely needed a makeover and you did a fine job. It was hideous before. Beautiful now.
Great job .. I much prefer the natural finish of the wood ..
Great restoration Friend, have a nice day !!!. Brian UK !!!.🎸🎸🎵🎵🎶
Que hermoso trabajo 🎉
esses baixos antigos tem um ótimo som
モッキンベースにペイズリー調の柄‥
サディスティック…弾くあたり 分っていらっしゃる
nice job making a guitar less interesting i guess
Great job, the new body color looks good, but it doesn't match the arm color in my opinion!
so you took something cool and ruined it good job
what is this body style called or model number, on the Japanese website the guitar is listed as MG-420S but I don't see this bass shape listed
hiciste mierda una obra de arte
A rad fernandes mockingbird. Don’t see many of these In the us.
x japan fans know why this as a crime
It was excellent until you touched it.
Un Bajo Tipo Mockingbird De B.C Rich Pero De La Marca Fernandes
お見事の一言。
Good👍👍👍
Isn't that a BCRich body style that Fernandes using as a bass line model
マホガニーかな?
👍
I thought it was hide's guitar but then I saw the four tuning pegs lol
HIDE!!!
Great
🔥🔥🔥🎸
hide
Bass looked relatively unmolested safe for that god-awful paint job... Must have been an easy one for you
how to destroy a piece of art
Great job. But terrible white neck.
🤘🏼
Does Fernades ship guitars to America? I love this bass guitar. You did an awesome job of restoring it!
Not these copies no, but they're plentiful in Japan if you're willing to pay to get them shipped over. They sometimes crop up but they can be rare and pricey if they're in good condition.
Considering import and shipping costs to the US, it would probably easier and cheaper to find a B.C. Rich Mockingbird locally
This particular bass is the Fernandes MB-65 (probably made around 1991). When you can find one over here in the US, you'll pay $700 to $800 for it. Google it's name and model number, and when one crops up, you can grab it.
the Fernandez MG-420S guitar not bass lists for $8K on eBay though the shipping is FREE, -l0l-
Hi mate. Sorry, but I think you made a big mistake.
Fernandes mb-60?
Killer ❤💪🤘😎😇
NOT REALLY GOOD ....I GIVE YOU 9.99999999999999999999 OVER 10....
why does it say slave
awful. this was a gore video. :(
Why would you strip the body but leave the paint on the neck? Lol wtf
