My favorite thing about theonethatis’s designs were that even thought they were larger they still looked solid and felt like actual LEGO sets. It’s easy for larger LEGO transformers to become fragile because of the integrity lost by all the transformation joints.
Expanding on your lore between Solarstream and Quickstop, I like to imagine that, if Quickstop had a TV series based around him, season x would end on a cliffhanger in which a suoer-powerful Decepticon has Quickstop at his mercy, and season y would open with Solarstream swooshing into the atmosphere, doing an over-dramatised transformation while free-falling, before superhero landing in front of the con and saying something like, "get back, kid!"
Here's an Interesting Lore idea for Solarstream; Due to the rockets on his forearms, he can't hold anything. To remedy this, he can create and manipulate small flames that erupt from the nozzles in order to create actual hands. The only downside is that he burns everything he touches, but that's to be expected.
That's cool
Like that water guy from mha, but with fire.
or perhaps have electromagnets in his rockets which allow for him to utilize scrap metal and turn it into a set of hands
Noice
@@halicusnguyen8864 Let's combine the two ideas. There's a type of engine being researched, that uses metallic hydrogen, so that instead of using a cone on the back that's pushed by the expanding gasses, which needs to withstand the high temperatures, you instead use powerful electromagnets, allowing both for the ship to continue pushing itself off the gasses, even once they're no longer directly behind the ship, and drastically reducing the amount of heat that actually reaches the ship.
When i see better engineering in a lego transformer than hasbro's official transformer figures...
Awww that's cute
Yep
This guys name has all of my favorites in one
i think they actually made jobby go insane more than one time
Agreed
A couple of things I like about Solarstream: When comparing vehicle modes with Quickstop and given the narrative you presented with Solarstream, I like to imagine that his vehicle mode is a bit archaic, coming from an "old cybertron" era where alternate modes were more individualized and could have been anything from a data disc to a solar speeder. Quickstop as a generic four wheeled vehicle, can symbolize a "new cybertron era" where alternate modes are more often than not transportation based and flight based alternate modes are starting to become less common. While Standing with Quickstop, you can compare the white parts on him to the grey on Solarstream as well as the colors overall giving an older and worn look to him. I personally like to give stories to characters, so seeing this really boosted my love for Transformers. Nice video!
It's like you can hear Rollout smiling at a few points, and its great.
Dang, 10 years ago already. Time flies, huh? As for the design itself, i absolutely love it. His small non-feet reminds me a lot of Animated Blurr, and the skirts/tail remind me of samurai armor.
THANKS
@Tadoušis lukoševičius omg you are way to small to be on UA-cam.
the original was actually made 7 days before i was even one
also is it just me or do u think he would be like really fast so he can just stay upright
So what name of his youtube cause i want to know
You're some sort of god dang engineering genius. Holy shit this is complex.
OK NOW THIS IS MY FAVORITE LEGO TRANSFORMER!!!
Keep Up The Good Work!!
I picture those rear engines as atmospheric flight units, since I can't really imagine the photon-propulsion would work in atmospheric conditions.
It’s neat that Solarstream has a similar colour scheme to Quickstop except that his green is darker implying him being worn
The rebuild of quickstop is like a fan of solar stream and makes himself look like solarstream
New transformer: Revenant. Grim reaper- like hearse guy. Sound cool or not?
Oh yeah, that’s a pretty cool idea!
That's sick
Sounds like a Decepticon
Apex.....?
@@mash2790 That's where I got the name from
Rollout: satellite panels
Me:*takes out textbook*let's begin literal rocket science
It's usually hard for me to really like the designs of most lego transformers due to the lack of ways to make detailed faces, but this one is super cool! I'd like to imagine that the tail blaster could connect to the back in vehicle mode as weapon storage and to signify a trail of light energy that emanates from his energy storage cells. Although I'm not sure if a connection for such an idea would work.
I like to think of the solar panel thing as a trench coat of sorts
...their side skirts, you do know what side skirts are right?
TRENCH SKIRTS
Baggy coat that makes you look bigger than you really are :D
7:51
Sam: what are you doing!?
Crosshairs: to lay some hay.
Oh my god, best Lego transformer ever.
BUT IT HAS PEICES I DONT HAVE
FOR GOD SAKE
Jaone GMD rip
Rip
Buy them on bricklink
Which parts
Rip
86 builds man you got some skills man
Ikr
This is by far my favorite lego transformer
YOU BET YOUR BUTT I REMEMBER HIM! God he was my number one inspiration back in the day. Love your interpretation as well, you did an amazing job at such a small scale!
Sorry to ask but do you know how to spell his name? I want to see what he does but I don’t know how to spell it
@@bellas486 Onethatis
This is such a throwback, and makes me feel really old... Things have changed so much over the years. I wish I was that same bright-eyed 11 year old again, making these amazing creations
The design and the transformation is beautiful! 11 out of 10, nice!
Man I miss all of the LEGO transformer you tubers 😢
RhetoricalQuestion so do I. They are pretty cool and creative
RhetoricalQuestion hey I might make one since I have so many damn LEGO and love transformers plus the new movie is great
@@thatkidandrew7818 do it
I thought he bought them
Amazing work man, probably one of my favourites that you’ve built, I can’t say I’ve seen the original but this is quality work. Great Job man
I think you should give them atobots or decepticon
Wow I remember this figure being my favorite on this channel 2 years ago 😂
He left UA-cam? *Oh, how sad. Alexa, play Despacito.*
This makes me remember that mountain Dew transformer lmao
Cyborpedia Entry #087
Subject : Solarstream
Faction : Autobots
Alt : Cybortronian Space Jet
Weapon(s) : Solar Cannon, Hand Mounted Missile Launchers
Description: An Idolized powerful autobot, who is a hero in the younger Autobots eyes. I high ranking commander who was presumed KIA or MIA for several decades who came back when the war on earth started.
Description is perfect
I imagine solarstream just coming out of the blue and optimus and the other autobots surprised he's still alive but of course, well past his prime days but is still able to fight on par with optimus despite his age and go toe to toe with megatron
Really symbolizing his power as an autobot war hero
“Here he is, alongside a VERY lost spaceman...”
Solarstream looks awesome in your style great design! :)
Holy crap a rollout build that can ,,, dare I say, articulate
The build is amazing!!! I've had this in my watch later for a while and should have watched this sooner. The build just kept getting better and better
The Beginning:Basically Optimus Prime's one of a kind speech.
This is one of your all time best builds
This is definitely my favourite
So articulated.
I think this is the coolest transform
Man I've absolutely loved everything you've put out since the new Quickstop! Those mixel joints are really helpful eh? I felt since Quickstop you've had more of a uniform style, but every figure was as original and unique as ever, I love it!
This is probably my favorite transformer of yours.
This has to be your best work (even if it is a redesign). Great, complicated transformation with an amazing robot and vehicle mode. I love how you added the side armor.
You know what. I've only ever built two LEGO Transformers in my whole life, but I think I'll give this a go, in tribute to a great classic Lego-Transformer UA-camr that I remember watching here, and there in the past. and I know just the bot to build, the most recent one in my memory, Brazer. He'll be difficult with my limited parts selection, but he's worth a shot at least.
Holy crap Rollout, I looked at the name of the transformer and my nostalgia engine kicked back on.
Used to be friends with him on deviantart, he even drew one of my OC's as a gift. Been years since I last heard from him though.
Oh he has a DA? I gotta see that!
Haha the one that is inspired you and your inspiring me haha. Ive also made my own version of your quick stop
The solar panel idea is actually being used right now to get closer to the sun.
your engineering on all your figures is beyond epic!
That's the best one you made out of all your creations
Since his jets are his arms you can plug a lego fire piece in his hand and use it as a flame thrower
I think he is the future quick stop and become a legend who travels the galaxy
Solarstream looks awesome!
I am new to this channel and I already love what you do 👏🏻
This is seriously one of the best builds ever keep up the good work
Absolutely fantastic. You never fail to amaze me
I remember this lad. Wow. It has been ages.
Very cool. I really like both modes, especially the robot mode. He looks almost like a warlock. Great job
This is one of the best designs ive seen and one of the coolest
10:20 that pose is so goddamn awesome
I thought the vehicle form looked pretty cool, but the transformation was awesome and the robot mode really reminded me of transformers the movie, the old anime one with Unicron planet thing
I miss you so much RollOut I thought I lost you forever but your here and am glad 😍
Best transformer ever
This is awesome Transformer
Thanks for your awesome transformers
I had an idea. What if airlock is solar streams oldest enemy, and now quickstop must fight him.
I think I'm going to like this series
Heroic and wisdom..... Sounds like a knight
The transformation look majestic and i love that
I’ve heard people say “student scissors is Better” but rollout is his own style of transformers so I don’t know how those 2 compare they are two different styles of Lego transformers
I think of him more of the Peter B. Parker type to Quickstop Morales. I also think of his “hands” using some form of short range power beams to hold things in midair like tractor beams
The moment I saw this I started getting emotional 😢
He looks great
I always loved the drawings he showed at the end
I don't recall seeing Solarstream back then but I could just imagine him being voiced by Sam Elliot and Quickstop being voice by Kevin James just like how it's like that in Barnyard (it's a Nickelodeon original movie)
He kinda reminds me of the transformers armada series
THOSE POSES
IS THIS TRANSFORMER’S BIZARRE ADVENTURE? HOLY SHIT
This is the best build you’ve ever done
I like how the upper body is transformed
Best so far
I'm loving the slew of new videos!
Damn, I remember watching his vids when I was like 8. God those were the days
This looks like it should be in a 10 dollar Lego set
I really like how you did it
only space ship transformer i ever liked that you made
Glad your back
When your legends class LEGO transfomer has more steps than an official voyager class
Aposlute fucking masterpeice of engineering in this
awesome as always
OMG I KNOW ABOUT THIS, used to love Solarstream when I was a kid!
So basically Solarstream similar is Jetfire in RotF
that. is. AMAZING
It’s not a bad thing that his is exposed in jet mode because if you look at the cybertronian form of megaton in any show really, or shockwave, their head is showing somewhere. So this is actually pretty accurate to a true cybertronian
Also it's funny how solarstream's back story is a metaphor for his original creator's current situation except said creator hasn't resurfaced yet
3:06 that's a concept that is actually being used by NASA and it's called a solar sail. The real thing is not quite as effective as you described it though.
1:1 output is nearly impossible but solar sails might be efficient enough in the future
As the days go by
Switcheroo, You Can Too!
Am I seriously the only one who gets the Blues Clues reference?
Yay! A new transformer from roll out! You inspired me to make lego transformers and i even use your method! Slap together pieces till you get something you like!
INSURCTIONS PLEASE HES BUTIFUL
Doesn’t that one running/ flying pose Solarstream is doing remind them of Attack on Titan?
Please do Steelranok, I'd love to see your style on him.
Solar stream is reincarnated into quickstop
It's simple, But very cool.
This is really cool! I love your style of smaller lego transformers. I especially like your unique Oxiliary! Next, make a Dark Of The Moon or The Last Knight megatron! That would be so cool in lego!
My mind has been blown
