Last Day on Earth is fantastic when you’re binge watching. It was cheapened by the cliffhanger watching it live but the fear and anxiety coupled with Negan’s speech. Amazing.

Don't forget to read the comics (they're all being remastered in color - currently at comic 100 TWD: Deluxe). There were 192 comics and will fill in any blanks that were missing from the TWD tv series.
'Too Far Gone' was Top 3 for me. The excitement level in my household was OFF THE CHARTS!! I was screaming, and I'm not a big reaction person. The tank, Judith being separated from Rick & Carl, it was just MUST SEE TV.
I have a top 23, but due to time, I'm only gonna list 11 of them. My Top 11 is: 1. What Comes After 2. Here's Negan 3. On the Inside 4. Too Far Gone 5. Days Gone Bye 6. Better Angels 7. This Sorrowful Life 8. The Day Will Come When You Won't Be 9. The Key 10. Not Tomorrow Yet 11. The Distance
Episode 100 801 "Mercy" - The most ambitious episode they have ever produced for The Walking Dead. Still my No.1 favorite season premiere ever. 801 is extremely beautiful.
@@clam2854 Hey I totally respect your opinion. I just personally thought S8 had too many "silly" scenes for me to be really engaged. I love TWD overall, but S8 was the one season I remember thinking "I could have written this better." It had good moments scattered here and there, but I won't bore you with all the issues I had with it.
@Harold They literally use the 801 "The World Is Ours" opening speech for the final episodes trailer lmao. The 801 intercutting opening is the absolutely BEST opening ever, soundtrack of that opening is incredible.
609 was super complex to shoot. With over 1300 walker make ups and a lot of actions and choreography. The editing is stylish, and musical scores of Episode 609 are also very long and stunning. 609 and 601 were the biggest episode that they have ever produced in the first 6 seasons. Until Season 8 topped it in terms of production.
Great list, but No sanctuary was the epitome of the shows premise for me personally. You get the sentiment that humans are bad when the governor destroys the prison in his desire to capture it, the group splits and you see that outside of an established community there really is nothing but a wasteland until the group establishes another stronghold/community, you see the brutality of what people will do when the claimers attack, and what the group has to do to survive it. And then boom the epitome of what the walking dead is about, how the world changed people. The concept of humans luring survivors to a slaughter house with false promises, signs, and radio just to drain them for food is ABSOLUTELY brutal. And the idea that it's not for revenge on our heroes, just an effort for another good to sustain themselves is terrifying. Walkers admittedly are a bit weak in this episode, but we still see that when push comes to shove they can be a deadly weapon and a persistent threat at any moment even in a stronghold. I agree trev that the top 5 is neck and neck, but for me I remember no sanctuary giving me a feeling of fear and dread unlike any episode besides maybe the negan line up
@Clam yea none of that is true those seasons are panned by critics and fans for a reason, also 701 is ruined Because of it being spoiled and having that awful cliffhanger

Better Angels There's a lot of honorable mentions: Days Gone Bye, The Grove, Pretty much dead already, Killer Within, This Sorrowful Life, Claimed, A, Them, Conquer, Not Tomorrow Yet, Hearts Still Beating, The First Day of the Rest of your Life, Mercy, The Big Scary U, How it's gotta Be, Honor, Wrath, The Obliged, Evolution, Guardians, Checkpoint, Scars, The Storm, Squeeze, Stalker, Morning Star, What We Become, A Certain Doom, One More, Acheron parts 1 and 2, Hunted, From the Ashes, On the Inside, For Blood, No Other Way, Warlords, Lockdown, New Deal, What We Lost, Outpost 22, Faith and Family These are all the best of the great episodes from the entire show's run of 177 episodes
The first 6 seasons typically have the best episodes i will say the episode with the Shane flash back was solid too despite Rick leaving and "the day will come when you won't be" I also will say season 2 is extremely underrated especially looking at the episode list it has some of the top episodes like better angels, what lies ahead, beside the dying fire, pretty much dead already, and gems like save the last one and 18 miles out the season had pacing issues but definitely better than what the show became later on
It's that time of year, im butchering our pig.when the throat cutting came into play, instantly my mind went right to the line up at the pig trough. terminus.
This one maybe random but my favorite is season 5 episode 12 remember it was such a good episode of them finally getting to Alexandria and seeing what it’s all about
Honestly I haven't watched the show in a while but there's a bunch of random episodes that happen to be very solid and fit your way of thinking at the time that make them stand out even though there not talked about alot and are sort of underrated, I remember I had a bunch of those types of episodes I know it will come to memory on a rewatch
Hey Trev, any chance we could get a Top 10 or Top 20 of your favorite characters? Maybe even a Top 10 or 20 of the best acted/written characters, thanks!
I don't feel like Thank You belongs on a Top 10 list 🙅🏽♀️ I'm not sure it's possible to make a Top 10 for me, as it's just so much awesomeness throughout the series. I do know a Negan episode would be at #1,tho 🤭
I like the first episode of season 4 when the virus hits the prison ward from the one older boy who is infected. Also the episode where Rick bites that bikers throat out after he tries to grape/abuse Carl, It just shows what they were reduced to. Cannibal episodes were interesting too, letting the viewers know that people were worse than the walkers.
My top 10 are chokepoint better Angles no way out four walls and a roof the day will come when u wont be to far gone morning Star rest in peace What comes after and no other way
The season five premiere no sanctuary was The Walking Dead's most watched episode ever, with 17.29 million US viewers tuning in fact the season 7 premiere was just under that
I can't fully answer this one as I'm currently in Season 5 of my re-watch. So far, I can say these episodes will definitely hit my top-10 and I doubt they'll be unseated: TS-19, Pretty Much Dead Already, Better Angels, Beside the Dying Fire, Too Far Gone, The Grove. My favorite stretch of the show went from S1 to S6.5.
I name them like Friends Episodes, The One Where Daryl And Carol Go To Atlanta, The One Where Shane Kills Otis, The One Where The Alexanderians Finally Step Up. Being among my Top 10.
"Too far gone" & the season 8 finale "Wrath" was 2 of my favorites and "what comes after" and "rest in peace" & "four walls and a roof" (the one where Rick kills Garrett) & "Here's Negan" & "the day will come when you won't be" & "better angels" "a certain doom" are my top 9 and Carl's last episode might be #10 idk yet 🤔
My favorite 2 episodes of the series were 5x15 Try and 6x3 Thank You. Also I really liked the season 4 finale "A" but it must be complete with Rick's uncensored f bomb line at the end.
Your number 1 so happens to be the first episode I watched live .. I started watching twd on Netflix in November 2015 seasons 1 -5 then watched season 6A on my dad's DVR and had to wait a couple weeks after watching the cliffhanger where they mention negans name for the first time , then of course I had to do research on who the hell negan is so I started reading the comics then had a full round perspective of the series by the time the line up came.... hints why I started watching your channel lol , there's my whole walking dead life story
Been a subscriber since Season 2 and I have massive respect for your opinion, but from my perspective Rest In Peace isn’t even a top 50 episode. To me it’s an extremely anti-climactic finale lacking specific direction and left more questions than answers. It’s not even in the same stratosphere as Too Far Gone or No Way Out for me.
Trev who are your top 5 the walking dead SIGMA? Sigma: A male that occupies outside a social or group hierarchy; a lone wolf or maverick. Great videos as always!
Trev, I am rewatching the whole series. Did you prior to making this video? Just wondering, not disagreeing. Also, have you noticed how small JDM looks? I mean thin.
Some top episodes for my ranking 716 213 802 808 - Explosive. Bigger than 408 1016 - Epic Scaled, massive. 816 - Series Finale of TWD Chapter 1. The gun backfiring stunt with over 400 actors is fantastic. The massive episode that aired in cinemas. 414 604 - Incredibly beautiful episode 915 408 501 - Better than 408 601 - The most expensive and most epic scaled episode they have ever done in the first 6 seasons. The massive the quarry opening sequence is the most complex VFX they have ever done in TWD's history, the most complex opening and VFX sequence for the first 6 seasons at least. No.6 Episode 100 801 - The most ambitious episode they have done in the first 9 seasons. Iconic. Episode 100 also pays a lot of homoge to some of the past episodes. No.5 809 - Masterpiece No.4 905 No.3 701 - The editings, mysterious structure, and musical scores are perfection for Episode 701. It's a bold and super mind-blowing reimagining of the Negan lineup. No.2 1124 No.1 609 - Over 1300 walker make ups. Very stylish editings. Best soundtracks of Season 6 along with 601. 609 was super complex to shoot with insane amount of walker make ups, actions and choreography.
i binged the entire show start to finish 2 times in the last 3 months and the show got so bad like you can tell something for the worse changed from season 7 episode 2 onwards and when i say bad i dont mean its a bad show but its bad compared to the first 6 seasons
very good list. agree very much on no sanctuary, thank you, calm before, the day wil come, too far gone but i would honestly put thank you higher. This episode was incredible. The amount of fear and action in that episode was huge. Having Rick fighting wolves in RV, Glenn and Nicholas dumpster diving🤣 and michonne and the rest. It was masterpiece Also i would put 2 episodes in it - S9E8 Evolution was incredible as well. How they itroduced whisperers with this episode was masterpiece as well. We didnt have this kind of introduction for any villians...not even Negan's one wasnt this good. All...the fear, enviroment in cemetery... - S6E16 Last Day on Earth was very good introduction to Saviours and mainly Negan. I really loved the suspense in this episode and how they did it overall even with the cliffhanger. It is just that feeling when u watch it and it makes u fear for what might happen. I think this was one of the best episodes...not the biggest one but in terms of filming quality it was really astonishing
how can the last ep be your number 2? has it been a while since you watched episodes from the first 6 seasons? lol ricks cameo was alright would have been cool if they didnt do the cringe "we are the ones who live" rant

I don't feel like Thank You belongs on a Top 10 list 🙅🏽♀️ I'm not sure it's possible to make a Top 10 for me, as it's just so much awesomeness throughout the series. I do know a Negan episode would be at #1,tho 🤭
No Sanctuary and Too Far gone are the best
I like the first episode of season 4 when the virus hits the prison ward from the one older boy who is infected. Also the episode where Rick bites that bikers throat out after he tries to grape/abuse Carl, It just shows what they were reduced to. Cannibal episodes were interesting too, letting the viewers know that people were worse than the walkers.
My top 10 are chokepoint better Angles no way out four walls and a roof the day will come when u wont be to far gone morning Star rest in peace What comes after and no other way
The bias is unbelievable. 11x24 was bang average🤣🤣
Your number 1 is my number 1. But I would throw season 5 episode 3. Four walls and a roof on there.
The season five premiere no sanctuary was The Walking Dead's most watched episode ever, with 17.29 million US viewers tuning in fact the season 7 premiere was just under that
No way out forever
I can't fully answer this one as I'm currently in Season 5 of my re-watch. So far, I can say these episodes will definitely hit my top-10 and I doubt they'll be unseated: TS-19, Pretty Much Dead Already, Better Angels, Beside the Dying Fire, Too Far Gone, The Grove. My favorite stretch of the show went from S1 to S6.5.
No way out is my number 1
Down for it. Thanks Trev . Better Angels definitely one of the best
I agree 100%
I also liked the one where people were sick in the prison and they had to save Glenn
Oh yea where Rick and Carl shot up that horde that broke into the prison?
For myself, the best episode is when Little Timmy and the Dick Brigade get blown up! No Way Out
For me, No sanctuary
My favorite 2 episodes of the series were 5x15 Try and 6x3 Thank You. Also I really liked the season 4 finale "A" but it must be complete with Rick's uncensored f bomb line at the end.
Honorable mentions to 10x10 Stalker and 11x24 Rest in Peace. Yes, it really was a good series finale
No way out had no smart walkers if so more rick crew wouldve died 🔆🔦💡
Bro where is s7 episode 16 I was on the edge of my seat
Trev you should do a video on which things the comics did better then the show also vice versa!!!
Things the comics did better: Everything, except Daryl and Merle
Your number 1 so happens to be the first episode I watched live .. I started watching twd on Netflix in November 2015 seasons 1 -5 then watched season 6A on my dad's DVR and had to wait a couple weeks after watching the cliffhanger where they mention negans name for the first time , then of course I had to do research on who the hell negan is so I started reading the comics then had a full round perspective of the series by the time the line up came.... hints why I started watching your channel lol , there's my whole walking dead life story
Great 👍
Thank you 👍
I always wish there was more love for Not Tomorrow Yet *sigh*
I can't decide because I'm such a big fan of #TWD, I HAVE ENJOYED SOMETHING 💖 FROM ALL EPISODES 🌟
Actually 5x1 is the most watched episode 7x1 is the 2nd
i would love to see 1 more spin-off about mercer prinsess gabriel aaron and lydia tbh i definently wanna see gabe aaron and princess again somewhere
Funny when they say it done but AMC still continuing with three spinoff base on TWD original characters, still great video
All good, it would have been cool if they could have extended to 16 episodes, but AMC made the call, 8 episodes, part 3, wrap it up. : (
@@Trevschan2 yeah I agree that 16 episodes would’ve been better pacing. Still exited for the Rick/Michonne show though.
Trev who are your top 5 the walking dead SIGMA?
Sigma: A male that occupies outside a social or group hierarchy; a lone wolf or maverick.
Great videos as always!
I’m disappointed not to see “Still” on here
LOL
Trev, I am rewatching the whole series. Did you prior to making this video? Just wondering, not disagreeing. Also, have you noticed how small JDM looks? I mean thin.
Yeah, well he's getting older.
I wish I had time to watch them all the way through over the winter. I need to win the lottery and do that.
Clear should be i the top 10
The first episode is the best episode.
Some top episodes for my ranking
716
213
802
808 - Explosive. Bigger than 408
1016 - Epic Scaled, massive.
816 - Series Finale of TWD Chapter 1. The gun backfiring stunt with over 400 actors is fantastic. The massive episode that aired in cinemas.
414
604 - Incredibly beautiful episode
915
408
501 - Better than 408
601 - The most expensive and most epic scaled episode they have ever done in the first 6 seasons.
No.5 809 - Masterpiece
No.4 905
No.3 701 - The editings, mysterious structure, and musical scores are perfection for Episode 701. It's a bold and super mind-blowing reimagining of the Negan lineup.
No.2 1124
No.1 609 - Over 1300 walker make ups. Very stylish editings. Best soundtracks of Season 6 along with 601. 609 was super complex to shoot with insane amount of walker make ups, actions and choreography.
I wish I felt the same way about rest in peace as most people do, but I just don’t like it. It was cheesy and corny
i binged the entire show start to finish 2 times in the last 3 months and the show got so bad like you can tell something for the worse changed from season 7 episode 2 onwards and when i say bad i dont mean its a bad show but its bad compared to the first 6 seasons
very good list. agree very much on no sanctuary, thank you, calm before, the day wil come, too far gone but i would honestly put thank you higher. This episode was incredible. The amount of fear and action in that episode was huge. Having Rick fighting wolves in RV, Glenn and Nicholas dumpster diving🤣 and michonne and the rest. It was masterpiece
Also i would put 2 episodes in it
- S9E8 Evolution was incredible as well.
I think this was one of the best episodes...not the biggest one but in terms of filming quality it was really astonishing
how can the last ep be your number 2? has it been a while since you watched episodes from the first 6 seasons? lol ricks cameo was alright would have been cool if they didnt do the cringe "we are the ones who live" rant
people have different opinions. crazy i know!
👍
Rest in peace is not a top 10 or 20 episode imo!!!
ik bro its so overrated
