I think this is the best modifier they’ve done. Can still play the game and earn rewards like normal and I enjoy the twist of what perks you’re given. Can’t ever be mad at either side since nobody can run their meta builds
I can be mad at the killers who decided to tunnel relentlessly regardless of gen progress. Misery. Just like Lights out, pure misery.

Complete opposite for me.
I was excited to finally play this long awaited but oh man I am at a loss for words, I played more than 14+ survivor games and each and every single time, the killers would camp, tunnel, play cheap and use the most dreadful killers with dreaful addons. Just to give an example
Slugging knock out plague with iri and Purple addons
Tunneling blight with his iri addons
Infinite tier 3 myers that got his power running by 4 gens
Tunneling Wraith
Another disgusting Plague
Friendly Ghostface but it was boring so it doesn't really matter
Slugging Reworked Twins
Extremely Good Blight
Versed other killers too, they were not as dreadful to play against but they followed the general rule of Tunneling and pair that with [that 1 teammate that does nothing] there is just nothing I can do
Good thing I didn't face Skull Merchant but it still doesn't save May 16 from being the worst day of dead by daylight for me, Hopefully not the case for the Reader.
I really like the Shuffle Mode, a lot of times I just want to spice up my games and mess around and this lets me do that. It lets me try perks I wouldn't usually try (because they're not "meta" or whatever), and I don't have all survivors or killers prestiged and with the shuffle I have access to them :D

100%. It’s so refreshing to not see full meta lobbies and just try to get value out of random perks ! People saying it’s boring are clearly burnt out and need to take a break

I wanted them to implement a full shuffle feature so that when you click 'play', you would load in with a randomly picked survivor or killer, a random set of cosmetics, and random perks. I also thought this would benefit Behaviour Interactive by showcasing their fantastic skins and potentially encouraging people to make purchases in the shop if they liked what they saw. Unfortunately, we only have random perks. Maybe next time!

I think this should be a feature next to the loadout menu.
So you can spice things up a bit
a randomiser option would be cool, but the reason this mode is fun is because EVERYONE is affected. you dont have to worry about everyone else running meta shit all the time

It needs to be everyone or nobody, running random perks when the other players have meta perks is just asking to have a bad time, specialy as killer.

The point of this game mode is that everyone is affected by this and you’re not up against meta perks constantly

One of my favorite modifiers so far, although 5 skull merchants in a row isn't as amazing as one would think. I do love how no one can be mad at either side perk-wise

@@Anonymous-fn8nj something you’ll notice about this game is that the Allan was never hooked at all, I didn’t see him once the entire game. So I can’t say I know that he was the best of all 4 but he was better than the Zarina and the Renato.
My favorite Tome challenges were the perk randomizer ones. So, when i get around to playing this modifier, it'll be my favorite one
i love that u have to adapt each game to what perks u get, and not have to worry about the others sweating. im having a blast on both sides but even more so for killer than normal games.

@cry-rs7vv and im saying in chaos shuffle you dont have to worry about everyone running meta perks, therefor there is no need to tunnel and slug to the level you apparently do. also you wouldnt have to worry about those perks if you didnt tunnel.

I realize it's nothing crazy, but I think this modifier is something the game really desperately needed. It's been so stale on both sides and this really helps to bring back the feeling of DBD being a party game again. I would love to see some form of permanence in the game for this. Even if it was just the normal queue and you could manually choose to do it and maybe it offers a BP or XP bonus for doing so.
Pro tip: Nemmy’s zombies only raise their arms when a survivor is nearby, so easier tracking for the final Sable at the end
When I played neme I didn’t know until it popped up on the loading screen tips about paying attention to zombie movements

I'm loving this mode as a killer main. I already liked playing no slowdown/random builds on a variety of killers so it's really nice knowing that the other team isn't running hard meta and outperking me. My chases are ending a lot faster now that every survivor in the mode can't crutch on Windows of Noobertunity
They need to either make Windows basekit so people can stop complaining about it, or have one version of each map perfectly designed and get rid of RNG. Survivors should know where resources are at all times, the skill comes in how you're able to utilize them. It's impossible to know how to path most maps because the RNG makes it impossible to memorize.

While I agree windows is very good I have a terrible memory and so have to use it, I don't use it to abuse loops I just forget loops 😢

The fact you can still choose items, add-ons, and offerings on both sides makes this game modifier a massive W.
all the killers running iri's and mori is a huge L, why sweat in the 'for fun' game mode?
@@Oldothats my only problem with this game mode the random perks good but the fact you’re still allowed to bring in map offerings strong items with add ons killer you’re still allowed to bring tombstone double iri blight it doesn’t feel like a true randomizer.

@@DeputyFish On the contrary, I like bringing a medkit with 2 heals in it to prevent the boringness of hit and run. I will agree they should have turned off map offerings for the event.
@@Notwedsquid Seems like those add-ons are the problem since they exist in the first place, not the fact they can also be used during the modifier event. Even syringes are BS and should only be allowed to work when applied to a teammate (so no popping one on yourself mid-chase).
I genuinely loved this, I played this like it was normal mode the entire day yesterday. It was never really dull. Even the occasional no mither rounds were entertaining for me.

I really think Chaos Shuffle is what a modifier should be. This really falls in line with what the devs said they want for modifiers. Lights Out felt like it was trying too hard to be a new mode, and it didn’t feel comfortable in its own skin. This mode knows what it is and we can just let loose and have fun.
I disagree. And I'll even go further and say this is a very VERY lazy modifier. Oh boy random perks. So exciting. But somehow lights out, which has a unique take on the game, completely being unlike normal dbd, is considered a flop to so many people. It literally took everything you were comfortable with and took it away from you on both killer and survivor side yet no one liked it. But some how THIS is the chiefs kiss. Lmao fuck making a unique game mode completely different then the main. I wanna have lithe n background player randomly given to me so I know I'm REALLY gaming.... like what. Lmao
Love this mode so much. Already found a bunch of perks I’ve never used that I love and it’s real funny seeing people try and do things that won’t work cause they don’t have their typical perk loadouts lol
They should add a survivor perk called copycat.That allows you to Is borrow a perk from team member at random for a limited portion of time. Like until you like finish your generator.
I really love this modifier. I'm shocked i actually enjoy something the devs added instead of instantly hating it lmao. It feels a lot like ARAM on league or assault on smite lol. This really, really needs to be basegame.

The only problem I have with this modifier is that I stopped playing dbd for a year,came back last month so I still don't know what half of the perks form the characters released in that meantime do
From 4 I only get value of 2 of them maybe 3 so far I didn't recognized all 4

I think the chaos modifier is cool.
However, I think it would be more interesting if the perks switch to random perks every minute or so. May not get much value out of some perks, but still would be fun.
Like a random Sprint Burst while in chase. Or, clutch Adrenaline if it switches before the last gen pops. OR, Getting Deliverance while on death hook.....

That would've been infinitely more fun instead of what you can already do just by searching up "DBD perk randomizer". This is just running into the same problem Lights Out had where people just tunnel and camp more because survivors don't have the tools to fight that being solo-queued most of the time.

I think a permanent alt game mode could work on a weekly (maybe biweekly) basis where each week you get a different alt game mode, from lights out to chaos shuffle to 2v8 to prop hunt to whatever they can come up with. It would mix up gameplay just enough without getting stale or dominating the base game mode.

I think they should add random glyphs throughout the map that changes your perks when you interact with them. Just to add like a gambling feel to it lol

I only ever use really basic perks with survivor, and on killer I never use perks or addons. This mode has been a lot of fun. I'm using perks I forgot existed and actually rediscovered some pretty fun stuff to use.
After it's gone I might just play every match with perk roulette

I like the randomness of this mode. I don't like bringing the same old thing every single game and this mode also gives you a chance to get perks from characters you don't even have unlocked so in my case it makes it really hectic to be playing with perks that idk really what they do. Also makes you feel incredible when you juice with perks that are basically useless. First game on with trapper the best perk I had was enduring (also has septic touch, predator and whispers) and still did good while just messing around with the survivors. I would love a randomize feature in the regular game
They should have made it where you open special chests that replace one or more of your perks (to shuffle them up throughout the match, beyond the initial randomizer). And killers open up lockers or some killer equivalent chest to do the same!
i mean yeah having your perks shuffle randomly every 1-2 minutes in a match would be absolutely awesome, but it would also be a little over the top imo
I wish they would show your perks before you are in the match. I don't know half the perks because I never use them, so I at times have no idea what tools I've been given.
You can also get nothing, I've gotten a match with 0 perks

That would really be cool if perks switched every 90 seconds in the match. I imagine it’d be tough to actually make something like that work, but a future version of chaos shuffle could be like that.

They should make the loading screen into your random perks description,half of them i dont even know what they do so its hard to get value from them
I love this gamemode and it is also fantastic for new players cause it ignores levels and characters, so you always get 4 perks, and you don't have to have the characters unlocked to get the perks 😊
I think it would be fun if you could reshuffle your perks mid game to add more choas. things like all of a sudden you have coup de grace, or something. like after in gen your perks change

If it changes randomly during the game like you suggest, how would that work for stacking perks? Perks that work late in the game like NOED? What about hex totems? If they got rid of your hex perk, would it return on shuffle?

The game mode is super fun! The only slight issue is that bad killer perks are useless whereas bad survivor perks can be an active hinderance and get you killed easier.

i've noticed he changes titles based on reception. one notable one i remember is his skull merchant ptb video, where at first he titled it something like "the skull merchant is finally terrifying!!!" and then changed it to what it is currently. hmm, lol.

What if each time a perk activated, it replaced it with something else? Like, you spawn in with Sprint Burst, use it and then that slot gets replaced with a new perk. That'd be sick.
I weirdly enough found that killers I went against would tend to tunnel far more, or wait just outside of the range for the self-dehook and guard the area. Without perks to catch people, they resorted to something more cruel. For survivors, you have those who seek to bully killers regardless, or those who, without a safety net, act like they have a rat build because they are now afraid.
Also I swear No Mither has a 15% pick rate. Seen it in more games than I've had without it.

I haven’t seen the whole video but I enjoy the game mode the only thing I wish they would do is give a little note of what some perks do before you start bc I know most but not all perks so it does kinda confuse me on what some do but that’s me still Im enjoying the game mode

The killer could like be able to form into a pile of flesh and go under pallets under new added doors u can lock behind u if in a chase something like that. The only downside for the hospital is well there's already a hospital. So if not that the fair on the last episodes of season 3. Feel free to make ur own ideas for this chapter incase u don't like mine
I must say as killer its very refreshing? I mostly play meme builds so sometimes getting Pop or Grim embrace + dms feels soooo chill, especially since survivors aren't super stacked and you won't be losing half your downs to Background Player or FTP Buckle Up shenanigans

First game on this mode I got a tryhard tunnelling nurse, I can't believe people can be that sad to do that on a super casual event.
for someone who is so comfortable with my build it is super fun stepping outside my comfort zone and rethinking my gameplay with the perks I've been given.
This is cool as a modifier. Not sure why they haven't added into the normal game to do random perks. UA-camrs have been doing perk wheels for a long time. I like the idea of doing it like gun game. Maybe each gen regenerates your perks.

@@veryrichcomedy I went full tryhard in the first gsmes as killer to get all the challenges done, and once i finished i just chilled, and the first chill game a kate almost cried at the end thanking me because she said she spent all day trying to escape a trial ans it was the first one she managed... ahaja

10:30 sigh... yeah... I could whine a bit survivor side about how much harder it is to wiggle off these days, but honestly it makes me more sad on killer side because of moments like this. Mad Grit was such a fun perk to surprise confident and altruistic players with back when body blocking was more common, one of my favorite perks is really hard to justify bringing anymore. At least at the level all my killers seem to be.

Does anyone who doesn’t own every killer/survivor know if you can get perks that you don’t own?
Tried it, got no mither, invocation and red herring, the next game it was that self gen blocking perk, distraction, healing ada perk and rookie spirit.
When I played killer one guy got DS, dead hard, windows and deliverance while no one got useless perks

CS is ok. I don't mind the shuffle but shuffle the perks before loading into a game so we can read what they are so we know what we're doing. Many perks go unused so many of us are using them for the first time and need a moment to understand there use/activation condition. Other than that killers hard tunnelling knowing they won't be punished for it is an issue and many of my survivor games has had at least one person with no mither which makes tunnelling even easier and G.O before we've begun. As mentioned it's an ok mod but after playing it for a few games I moved back into normal dbd.
