    I planted one plant in Abilene Texas in part shade and have many new plants springing up everywhere, very little water and still thriving.

    Thank you Dina. Mother wort is popping up all over! I've been studying for several seasons now and this year I plan to harvest medicinal plants and edible food source plants. I like that you have shown the seasons and would like to define look alikes in spring and in flower for this beautiful medicinal plant and for others.

    Great video Dina, thank you! Interesting timing too, as I have never found Motherwort in or around my hometown until just last month. I saw these very leaves in abundance along a trail I had never previously visited and wondered what they were. Fortunately, one single elder flowering top was still standing from its summer bloom, and I recognized it once I saw that one late bloomer! I love that you've made a video for others who may not see the flowering top!💚

    thank you. Yesterday I was in a full panic/emotional heartbreak. I was out on a walk and looked down and saw Motherwort. I plucked a leaf and popped it in my mouth. Within 5 minutes I experienced a lot of relief. So grateful for this plant. In the video you mention that there is a season for it's medicine. It's fall moving into winter here in Minnesota. I still got a lot of benefit from motherwort even though it's getting cold out. Wondering how much the season makes a difference if eating the leaf whole? - thanks!

      Love your comment here. Thanks. Regarding herbal therapeutics, there is a peak medicine moment for each plant, but still the plants can offer healing in their various stages, even if not at peak harvest time. For motherwort the leaf right now would still have much to offer, as you experienced. Hope this helps.

    How do we plant a backyard garden for all these things in Utah??

    • @DinaFalconi
      @DinaFalconi  3 роки тому +1

      Many of these plants that I share about are wild, like this motherwort. Or, as you say, you can plant them. Many of them are detailed at Strictly Medicinal Seeds website. Or Richters. There may also be a more local herb growing you can connect with in your area of Utah.

    Hello madam sorry I just want to find out if mother wort is good for kidneys or damage the kidneys thank you ma

    • @DinaFalconi
      @DinaFalconi  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for your comment. Generally speaking, if motherwort is taken in small amounts (work with your health care provider on this), it should not negatively affect the kidney's. But each of us is different, and best to assess this with a skilled health care provider.

    Is Motherwort and Mugwort the same thing?

    • @DinaFalconi
      @DinaFalconi  2 роки тому

      Thanks, Stacey, for your question. Mugwort is a totally different plant than motherwort. Mugwort is scientifically called Artemisia vulgaris. And if you can spend time looking at these two plants, you'll be able to tell them apart quite easily. Hope this helps.

    This seems to be one of the first plants popping up in nd. I thought it was garlic mustard. Can you eat it at this stage?

    • @DinaFalconi
      @DinaFalconi  2 роки тому +1

      Hello Kaleb, yes motherwort pops up early. It is often under the snow all winter long, so when the snow melts away, there it is. Motherwort is not food, it's medicine. It tastes awful. You could make medicine with it now, but usually one waits until it starts to flower to harvest it.
