The only remake producer I've caught on youtube that actually uses proper sound engineering principals and deduction to make INCREDIBLY close/accurate remakes. I love it man. Never stop! Lining up wave forms etc makes me so fucking happy. The shazam at the end of your more recent videos is just the icing on top imo.
Plus he does a lot of research. The way he made the sample the whole melody then sped it up then put it into gross beat is not intuitive lol. That’s something that only comes up when you’re in a session trying stuff.
I do actually remember the first i heard it. It was in the gym summer 2017. I remember being conflicted because I was against "mumble rap" but I knew that it was super catchy and I couldn't convince myself not to like it. This song was one of the main reasons I began to embrace that new generation of rap
Couple cool guys at my high school performed this song at the school talent show. Like straight up produced the song on the spot by live looping. Had the whole school lit. Will never forget that moment.
I know this was a different beat but When he re exported it and half timed it after seeing all the original assets, I was like THAT IS WILD. Love you're stuff.
I first heard Xo Tour Llif3 when I was on vacation in Georgia with my sister, it was probably like summer 2017 and it played on the radio and my sister said “omg this is the best song ever, do you know lil uzi vert?” and at the time I was like 10 so I didn’t really listen to music, but after listening to uzi I’ve been in love with rap and that song always has the vibe of springs in Georgia.
ah i remember i found X and a. unch of other underground artists in like 2015 when i was like 9 and then found uzi a couple months later and ever since then the new waves of rap have always been my favourite
It is kind of crazy how the deconstructed one just glosses over the actual melodies. It happens to much in that series where the producer just gets' the sample loop from someone else instead of breaking it down to presets and progression.
after jw lucas got cancelled, he also got exposed for taking a lot of producers' loops and samples under the guise of "management" and sending them out without crediting them and working on them, as was the case with what's poppin by jack harlow. jw lucas likely did send him the melody or whatever part of it but i don't think he actually made it, or at least tm88 worked on it a bit
I heard this song for the first time when I was waiting to run my event at a track meet. One of my friends played it and I remember listening to it on repeat after that. Such a good song 🔥🔥

I remember re-doing the exams to enter my university and I was waking up every morning at 07:00, doing my coffee and chilling to Ryan Celcius channel streaming "Tripping in Japan" with lofi music. I remember having some great conversations on chat with a pretty girl but I don't even remember her name now. Man time flies away.
First time I heard that song was thru my brother's playlist in my car, and I hated it. It was depressing to hear the "All my friends are dead," but that's also the part that made me come back to it, because that's a reality in my life. All the friends I grew up with are dead or in jail. I gotta say, the song is amazing! and it's even more amazing now that I see how it was made. It takes true skill and talent to make this masterpiece.💯🔥🔥🔥
