- After our stay in the mountains, our next stop was on the Pacific coast of Costa Rica. Not only did the climate change, we also got to see completely different animal species. Photographing black-winged stilts and other waders in the early morning was certainly one of the highlights. But I was also fascinated by the many butterflies and birds around the lodge.

Stunning photos and footage!
Thanks
That was an awesome experience! You're lucky to have had a whimbrel there so close and not bothered by you. Usually they are very shy!
Yes, I think it only worked since I was laying there before it arrived
Nice reflection footage Fabian.
Thanks
Beautiful video footage and wonderful snaps.
Thanks
Thanks for sharing those lovely shots. I especially enjoyed the stilt sequences, such graceful birds.
Thanks!
I love your videos! Very easy to watch. I stayed at Ensendada Lodge last year. It was one of my favourites! What month date did you visit? It looks a lot more 'green' than when I visited. So many more butterflies.
Thanks! It was end of August
Hi Fabian, superb images you got there. The bird reflections in the salines with the golden light in the background are a feast for the eyes. Well done. Cheers
Thanks
