Hi Daniel and Nathan,you probably won’t see this but I was wondering if it is normal to struggle hitting race pace in training?I feel like I have to work really hard and basically go max to hold my 800 race pace for 400,don’t know if this is a problem or if it’s normal to struggle to hit race pace?
I would never be able to hold my 800m race pace for 400m I think that would mean a 3:49 which is impossible to hold. I think if you are able to hold your race for 50/100s it’s is good and maybe for a couple 200s but never 400s
How come you don’t do a full range of motion… the squats that that chap is doing are light… I do 80 kg x 8 x 4 and I do full range of motion… that must be why I am the East region 35-39 yo masters champion in the 800m as well as the 100m freestyle. Squat deep, get results.

So are you trying to hold 400m at 800 race pace?
@ yes but I literally have to sprint the entire thing pretty much never mind trying to two beat kick lol

Looked like lunges maybe
Their Trainer/Physical Therapist knows what hes doing im Sure....maybe they were Split squats ?
