Looks like Fathers doing all the work!
Nar the Big fella was helping
He was also work8ng on another project at the same time
I have the same Bissel carpet cleaner & it's brilliant for everything. The secret to tougher stains is to saturate it with chemicals & repeat if it's budging a little.
Anything electrical on VT-VZ, disconnect the battery first, let it sit for 15mins, then do the work needed. This will save you getting someone in to clear any fault codes.
Great video & the seats look mad as.
Yeah sweet bro
Yeah just had it cleared and up being front l/h ABS fault histroy so not active
So happy now
Time to put the trim back on and get the air con done
@@downtheshedwithbyron If you're unsure of any wiring refer to that download website I told you about a while ago. Everything you need is there. Get the young fella to download it on a laptop.
Great progress mate love it, will be a damn nice car once completed
Not far now air con windscreen 1 or 2 other things just sorted out the air bag light its so nice to drive
Awsome job mate. Looking great. Safety grandpa won't know what hit him. Stoked to be a part of it.

You're certainly spoiling Safety Grampa with all this hard word, Heck you may find you wanna keep it. 😂😂
Lets just say the Big fella is a little sad but i did say to him he might get the VR Calais and DJ from Automotive karnage may have a engine that will make him smile again haha
@@downtheshedwithbyron if it's a 5lt, I'm soooo jealous 😱😱🤣🤣. Love one myself for my VN Calais.

Mate Dan did a ripper job now i need the air con done
Got the air bag light off it ended up being front l/h abs sensor fault
G'day mate... I was just looking at you joining wires and it reminded me of some newish wire connectors I saw. You put a Shrink thing on the wire and you poke the wires into the joining thing. then you hit it with a bit of heat and it like melts what looks like low melting temp. solder and shrink wraps it all. I think I saw it on a channel called Diesel Creek. By the way, did I see an old red over the back in your shed? Fantastic motor. That Billy Lid of yours is getting big. Ok enough of my babbling Cheers
How you going
Yeah solder splices are great love using them so you can do the same technique slide the splices over heat it up and it works well
Carpet looks good, the $ you paid for that bissell thing you could have got a carpet cleaner with a truck mounted machine to come to your house and clean the carpet and condition the leather as well, he would get the chewy out as well. I’ve been carpet and lounge cleaner for years. Good job though man
Cheers mate
yeah was going to get a pro to do it but ive got 4 cars to do haha
To remove the chewy from carpet I think that you can get freeze spray can from electronics shop. Spray it on the chewy and it should pick off.
Use a steamer to get the chewy out, but don't rub it in with a cloth just wait till it's completely removed otherwise it will make it worse.
Mate I have a set of custom hsv sheep skin covers in grey, I had made years ago you can have if they fit.
I HV an opel Calais 2.6 with an line 6 motor..I HV a problem with the dash and headlights not having any lights when I switch it on..and the fuelpump also not working..I HV checked all the fuses and relays and all of them are good..but I do notice the security red light is blinking when ever I pwr zo the car..is it because of this that the car won't work?..appreciate ur responds in this...I love ur vids..gives me cool knowledge about this car
Gday mate
Wow youve got some dramas
Cars not starting?
No lights?
Maybe start at the battery and go from there
There should be a module that is secondary to the plug and play kit. It just depends on how plug and play it was.
@@downtheshedwithbyron Yes. Make sure you got the right one. Hopefully not one for a VY or VZ.
the very low foam concentrate you can get is great for carpet. dont be scared to use more water/solution as long as its hot enough to dry it cleans better the more you put down. Resetting the plastics is very important when detailing (the wax and grease remover) people dont realize how much better it makes it.The lavender cleaner from ALDI is what I use it gets a bit sticky but a wipe over with a clean damp towel removes it and a ridiculous amount of dirt. it just needs the led kit for the interior :) Another great video
Thanks
Yeah thats a get tip ill try it out
Its coming up mint though
am facing the exact same rocking issue in my VX Calais would love to see how you fix it
I used the rubber washers out of the statesman seat
I might make a little video later on them of how you can repair
@downtheshedwithbyron did you end up putting up a video on those washers?
Hey mate do u know what size washer's u used for the rocky seat?
@@downtheshedwithbyron What ever one fixed your seat from rocking i have the same problem on both front seats
About 12 steps front and 4 steps back haha but we are getting there
