Nic before you post your bile grow up and understand that hunting is a way of life for some to feed themselves. They are not poaching they are hunting during an open season, regulated to insure stable herd populations. While I'm on the subject hunters do more to preserve nature through license fees and taxes than any other group. They also help biologists who examine kill carcasses for health of the heard, ages of animals etc.

Sportsman's dollars from licensing does the same. Private organizations like Ducks Unlimited and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation do the same with private funds. Here in Vermont it was the hunters who pulled the plug on the fish and game department when they gut money hungry and decimated the deer herd with doe permits. I do know that people like yourself are among the worst of the sadists who would allow, no desire, for a species to over populate to the detriment of an ecosystem bringing on disease and famine to the animals in it. You even promote it by your statement. I've seen winter kill when the deer population out grows the land's capacity to support their numbers. It is not pretty to see how starving animals suffer from the cold before they expire. Yet you embrace this cruelty. Hunters do not prey on endangered species unless there are over populated pockets where biologists consider it more effective to reduce their numbers by hunting and do not equate poachers to hunters. Poachers are criminals who use the animals for illegal profit. Now you never said where you live, in the country or an urban area. Never said how many years you've spent in the woods observing wildlife. Never said where you got your degree in biology or ecology. I've spent over 50 years in a rural area observing wild life and hunting. Seen the farms go away and houses built. Seen the deer herds, rabbits, and flocks of birds dwindle not by hunting but by loss of habitat due to development. Hunting is a combination of skill and luck otherwise it would be called shooting. Those who hunt are justifiably proud of their accomplishments hence the photos. Now if you want selfies of cops with dead perps there are a pile of them out there. Bonnie and Clyde, Gen Patton with Mexican bandits draped on the fenders of his car, federales with Pablo Escobar. You can even see pictures of Mussolini hanging by his heels after being pummeled to a pulp and dragged through the streets.
