FTB Revelation - Ep 17 - Finally Farming

- We've started a few big projects so far, but there's one that should have been started before any of them. We're still using the same "temporary" farm we've had since episode 1! Today is the day we solve that problem with a new building and a shiny new farming system, complete with some impressive extra power gen.

Don't feel bad, it's surprising that *I* even remember it given how infrequently I've been uploading recently. I'm trying to push a bit and fix that at the moment, so hopefully things will be improving in that regard.

I do too. I'm trying to make a push at the moment to get at least a bit more frequent with uploads, so hopefully it will be improving at least a little over what it's been recently.
A muriako upload always makes me happy. The greenhouse you've built is very nice indeed. It seems Chisel and bits is quite a powerful mod allowing you to do such wonderful detailing, especially when in the hands of someone so creative. The dark cross bars really enhance the structure, as does the subtle way you've used different glass for the roof than the walls. Seeing you using EnderIO was a delight. Without question EnderIO is my favourite mod of all, closely followed by Immersive Engineering then a tie with Pam's Harvestcraft and cooking for blockheads. I feel EnderIO takes minecraft tech into the future in a wholly canon way, thanks to it being based around ender pearls. I will say that if you plan on using the mod on even a semi regular basis then you're going to need access to lots of redstone, glowstone and gold, so the earlier you set up a way of getting those items - a witch spawner would be one way to get some of them, for example - the better. Octadic capacitors are not cheap! Although your Victorian style building with its steampunk edge may lend itself to immersive engineering perfectly. The garden cloche is a supereb bit of steampunk kit, but unfortunately it is way, way overpowered. Time for one last compliment, *smiles and winks* I do like the way you edit your videos with sound effects for the swipe cuts, third person timelapses with very cool music, and an informative and inclusive narration.
Thanks for taking the time to type that, it's always good to know that these videos are at least sort of enjoyable to someone out there.
Chisel & Bits really is fantastic, and honestly Little Tiles is even more impressive with all the extra stuff it can do beyond (though it's a bit more cumbersome to use). Really trying not to go overboard on details with it as I'm super slow at building in the first place, but for simple things like the greenhouse it just makes worlds of difference. And I just realized I forgot to mention the glass in the clip I used! The top is actually Greenhouse Glass from Actually Additions, it makes the crops below it grow at 2x speed.
EnderIO does seem like an amazing mod, there's just so much to it. We may actually be using a different aspect of it in the next video if all goes to plan, so I'm looking forward to that. I have a pretty significant back log of ore resources thanks to the Environmental Tech miner I setup, but if it ever seems necessary it may be cool to have a build dedicated to generating things for EnderIO specifically in different ways (Oh no, I haven't even finished the previous "factory" yet! So much to do...).
I've heard the garden cloche is overpowered as well, I suppose I'll have to look into how I'd want to use it and go from there. Honestly even the farm in this video seems OP to me though. As small as it is, with so many sacrifices for visuals, it still put out over 1k wheat and 20M RF in under 15 minutes. Wasn't really expecting that from a 15x15 farm where half of it is a walkway, lol.

literally just found this channel and episode 1 while building my ftb base, and im super pumped you still upload this series ;D time to binge. also nice to see you actually put effort into your builds, not just cobblestone square buildings like most channels :D keep it up dude
Thanks man! I've been a bit iffy with videos for a while due to life reasons, but I'm pushing to get back to it a bit more properly now so ideally they'll be a little more frequent and (hopefully) a bit better in general!
