    Thank you VeerJi.
Additionally, there are nine gates ( 9 physical holes in the body) and by doing simran we control our mind from wandering out the nine gates and make it sit within at the tenth gate Dasam Dwar ( which is above your eyebrows, it is not physical). From the tenth gate one hears God's voice Naam/Shabad. Guru Granth Sahib explains all of this, ANG 339.
The unstruck sound current of the Shabad vibrates and resounds in the Tenth Gate; the Ambrosial Naam trickles down there ANG 1002.

In the beginning were the words
And the words made the world
    I am the words
    The words are everything
Words have a special effect on the world and they are only meaningful when people agree with their meaning.

As a Hindu I have the outmost respect for sikh religion and the waheguru .since my childhood I was never taught sikh religion is different from Hinduism. I consider waheguru as god and knowing the facts what Sikh gurus have done for Hindus i can explain the feelings... Whenever in life i fear about anything i always keep in mind the words of wahe guru ...i haven't learned in my life any examples as strong as Sikhs...
    Wahe guru 🙏

The secret to connecting to "God" is in the focusing of the attention. Any word, or method used to focus the attention will connect you to the Source.

Good Video - I think what the lady was more focused on the vedic way of meditation and it is (at least I think) that kundalini yoga is a good way to connect;whether or not this can happen just by saying waheguru or by chanting and controlling the breath by saying Waheguru is debatable - I can't tell you I've never experienced that .. But I guess you would know from what Gurbani says and the Mahapurakhs......

in a way, waking up in 'the time of the angels' (ie, before sunrise) to call God, is kinda like
He's living in a different time zone and can only make time to talk to us at that time- that's how I see it :)

+Common Unity Lol, its probably more like all the people in our time zone are not interfering in our reception so we can connect to the One within us

You uses the example of a baby calling its mother. But I'm pretty sure the mum would rush to the baby even if it was saying daddy daddy. So she was right in a way

what does Sikhi say about meditation that involves sitting still without chanting? did the gurus do it?

    • @RajSingh-cd9iz
      @RajSingh-cd9iz 6 років тому +1

U WOT M8 no. The only meditation in sikhi is gurbani and chanting waheguru with love and connecting to the power source

This is called sunn samadhi. Sikhi is not too critical about methodology but suggest develop Sikh to have love for the 1 and it's creation.
The sunn smathi is a state that comes by itself. To my understanding it is the stat when words are not enough to express love and only thing you know is the bliss and realization of existence of 1.
It is not too too hard to achieve this stat but to maintain.
