I'm quite confident the vast majority of those 'barca fans' you're referring to are not actual Barcelona natives. A lot of times the glory hunter type fans are the most vocal. You shouldn't generalise all of them from those bad examples. When I was a kid I was at Anfield for the 2007 champions league quarter final when we played Barca and the Barca fans there were awesome. Despite the fact that they lost and we knocked them out, they were respectful. We chanted Barca as a show of respect and in response the Barca fans chanted "Liverpool!".

This is the best video of its kind I've seen....by watching you learn what it is to be a true fan. In each segment fans go through 3 stages:
Goals 1 & 2: ANGER that Barca are "needlessly" throwing away their 3 goal advantage...some of them seem to instinctively know, when Origi scores in the 7th minute, that their team will lose the game...then they have to endure 72 more minutes before the same man confirms their worst fears.
Goal 3: FURY MIXED WITH FEAR: the advantage has gone, Liverpool are the better team..it can only get worse.
Goal 4: DESPAIR: Barca have squandered a 3 goal advantage in the semi-final of the most important soccer tournament...each of these fans knows they will feel this pain forever...because they are true believers.
Even though I have been a Liverpool fan since 1978 and even though this was a great night for me, I feel incredibly close to these people and have experienced these same emotions many times. In this fu--ed up world we live in, is there anything better?
