Saw a more recent video you did with the Mackie board but not sure if i trust what i read about the mackie VLZ. Considering one of the GL 2400 24 track boards though. Would you say the eq woud be usable for hybrid setup? I'd like to use the board eq and maybe an external eq for a buss. Just want to be fiddling with plugins less and use the daw as a recorder really.
This is just personal taste, I much prefer the eq section in the Mackie 32 8 compared to the Allen and Heath. This is a great board too, but I find the Mackie to be more transparent.
Not so sure Id want to use the eq section on this board for a hybrid setup, I would prefer the Mackie 32 8 buss, or 24 8 buss. I would go with the Allen and Heath over the VLZ though.
@@UOttawaScotty thanks for the feedback. That's the problem I am finding now.. lots of VLZ's for sale and not the straight up Mackie predecessor like you have. I keep an eye out weekly but as you know here in Ottawa, gear can be scarse.
@@Polentaccio Thats cool you are in Ottawa ! I'll keep my eyes peeled for you. I actually bought my Mackie 32 8 buss board from long and McQuade Kanata, some guy brought it in on a trade, didnt want it, I think I paid 400 bucks for it which is crazy, honestly. I'll keep my eye out, if I see anything I'll let you know.
External power supply is for when the internal one fails, or gets noisy in the signal
When you said that you "can't keep everything" you sounded so sad man. Hope you find something that works for you!
my theatre teacher is giving me out old 24 track board this is so cool to see
This is excellent !!!

Curious, what board is that other one in corner of room at around 6 minutes into video. Thanks.
Hi Driver, that is a Mackie 32 8 buss. Really awesome all analogue board.
@@UOttawaScotty oh ok. What's the actual model name. Thanks. Does anyone make a hybrid, trying to decide whether analog or digital.
