Never compare Yesudas with any other singer as his singing is out of this world......it straight away connects listener with god ........ even 40 years back songs have that kind of "aalaaps" which are lessons for biggest of singers. Critics admit it or not but he is exceptional in classical singing and heavenly melodious in voice. The other singers may be Great ...or Greatest..but Yesudas is The Greatest and divine singer both. I listen Hindi songs but....I feel one song...the very beginning of Pramadavavanam vendum is enough to tell what does it take to be The Divine singer....the voice that spreads to entire horizon...it feels like .... numerous others are there but no need to give examples simply enjoy his only one of its kind singing on this planet earth.

Oh my God... this is an all time favorite & my dream song too, featuring two legend's voice. What a superb composition by great Naushad Saab. As usual Rafi saab, son of Ma Sarswati, sings with ultimate and unmatched skill but Yesudas's voice is also gives a feel of heavenly voice. His base with depth and clarity of words makes it a milestone song of repeated value.... We have very few such songs with real musical feel...

Rafi saab touching the notes too effortlessly and smoothly whereas yesudas does it much punchy. Moreover it was recorded in different eras, difference in recording quality. I feels Rafi sung it with heart, yesudas does it with voice tone. I like both of them.

Rafi Sahb was 56 while Das sir was 48 so you would feel some difference, still Rafi Sahb's version is more expressive and touching and Ghazal like while Das Sir's version is more sweet and soothing !
