I love watching the guests come and do what they love to do. They all are awesome and I think that CMOG should have more videos on UA-cam at least two or three days a week like this video here. I can’t get enough of CMOG!
After watching 1 h and 14.39 min. of almost meditative glasswork, 1:14:40 nearly gave me a heart attack! Anyway, great job guys! This channel deserves more that 99K likes! Keep it up! Today, i participated in my first glass workshop, because i was so fascinated by the videos you are posting. It's just such a beautiful craftsmanship which more people should appreciate. It has that kind of tradition that you can't find very often anymore. By the way...this channel deserves more that 99K likes! Keep it up! Greets from Germany!
The gold leaf does not turn the glass in contact red because you need gold salts because gold does not Oxidise like other metals. To make Gold Salts - Gold is dissolved in acid and the liquid is evaporated to leave the salts behind, This is added to the batch and it is melted - the glass will strike given an Oxygen rich atmosphere , when you have to remove the Glass from the furnace before it goes. If you over work Gold ruby the colour can disappear if you are not careful. The Red colour here looks more like a Selenium Red the way it is working. :-))
Hi Chris, the camera is behind the furnace, protected by a window of fused silica, which melts at a much higher temperature than the glass our gaffers use. Learn more about it here: blog.cmog.org/2016/12/12/the-view-from-inside-the-furnace/. Thanks for watching!
Too tall and fat w/a tiny opening.....what the heck would u use it for??? Love the Pearl cane work! But ruined it w/the splotches. Looks like raisins wrapped in gauze! Lol NOT one of his best works.

Thank you for that explanation. I will appreciate my ruby glassware inherited from my mother even more now!
Exciting work! Fine channel.
Thanks for watching, Paul!
Therapeutic I can watch my favourite channel
Have they ever had Rollin Karg? He is from my local area and is one of the very few artists in this country who makes his own clear glass.
one of the best
Wish they'd look at how Orient & Flume works....gorgeous and very different.
Beautiful
Australians live in the future.
In this moment, as I watch in May, the view count is 9313..... that is a good number.
Some months later, it is as if the live stream was never off... which I appreciate. Technology is a marvel.
Yes, every time I am on the edge of my seat...
I suppose it will be a bit of awhile before the glass cutting work is done. I look forward to that too.
Awesome
oh wao
