Your living your life the way you want! Someday if you have a Wife and kids the 70 days snowmobile adventures will be a memory. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
I'm not surprised how much it costs. But I am appalled at how much everything has gone up these last few years. I like the hidden message you flashed up there. That's the truth! thanks for all the great videos!
And nice to see that not all of Ontario voted Liberal! Guess that's mostly the big city population that does that. We have the same problem in BC where a lot of people in Vancouver vote left.
I bought a artic cat. XF high country 800. New and put about 1500 km/s on the sled. I used 1 container of oil! the thing is great on oil and gas honestly!!! Great info and thanks for sharing the info !
Crazy to think about how 3 months of sledding cost that much! I think you do it right by renting a place for a long time for a smaller per/night cost and then the standard necessities to ride everyday for 3 months! That’s why we all support you Matt! #buythemerch
Love ya man I watch all the vids I found this very intresting I thought it would cost way more but anyway thank you for all the videos I’m hoping to buy some merch once it’s not all sold out 😂
Hmm. Interesting. Great info thank you! The longer you stay the more affordable it becomes..... Now I can tell my wife that its cheaper the longer I stay...lol!!!! Have a great summer!!
Hey man, I came across you for the first time this year. It has been a please to watch you and all your adventures! Like you, I’m a blue collared worker that loves to spend time in the back country! One day I’ll find you out there!
Definitely a sport that needs to be loved to enjoy it to the top of the hills. Love my new sled and taking care of it! Fuel adds up very quick and wish these prices would calm down..
I'm glad I live in the mountains! Even then an hour drive from my house and back is $50+ for truck fuel, $75+ for sled fuel, and of course we have to travel farther for good snow some times. We do the camping in the sled trailer a bit, cots on the floor and the propane wall heater working hard all night. Definitely can suck not having a bathroom, but a cold poop now and then means more gas money for another weekend! I think I dropped $400 on beer, food, and gas on a 3 day weekend and I only went 4 hours from my house. It adds up in a hurry!
Thanks Matt its gotten allot more expensive over the past 2 yrs. These breakdowns are so good to understand the real cost to do what you do. Awww yeah still riding out here .. RIdersride!!
I’ve got a buddy from Ontario that keeps a mountain sled at my place here and flys out 5-7 times a year to sled over the winter. Every trip is about a $1000 all in. We usually do a week at time each trip! I’m in Invermere. So we ride Golden south mostly.
Makin it rain with receipts!!! Lol. This is why you've got the best riding channel going. You give people a behind the scenes of everything that is extremely useful for anyone that wants to do what you do. All the little things no one else talks about. Enjoy your summer and looking forward to next sled season.
thanks for the brake down really helps a guy pre plan a little bit and kind of have an idea of what to look for lodging wise an how bad a feller gotta pinch the ol paychecks. You the man look foward to the new channel as well. #KEEPONKEEPINON!
Thanks for the insight Matt, I’d suggest the majority of your followers are invested in the sport but it’s certainly can be an eye opener to outsiders seeing what we invest in the power sport industry.
Thanks Matt. Your videos inspired my brother and some other buddies to get back into riding. I now have a bigger riding group and a season of great memories with them. Well done and I hope the other channel does well. If you ever want to change things up, Valemount is a perfect central location for Blue River, Valemount, and McBride areas. A lot of us up here would love to see what fun you can find in this region.
Seems about right to me. Thinking your name could be Muskoka Expensiverider. I did about 1200 miles here in Minnesota and it only cost me sled gas so I got off easy. What a great season that was. Enjoyed watching your adventures. Cheers
The ending made me chuckle "that was dumb" lol.... Really enjoy the videos man! You have once again done a fantastic job. Oh and the tredeau must go flash.... Lol... we feel the same here or a lot of us do! Gotta pay to play but at the same time when I am on my death bed, I will never care about the cost to ride, I will only remember the awesome memories! Priceless! Thanks for another great season of video! 🤘🏻
I love the fact you outline the real costs and don't make it sound like a deal or butcher anyone for the dollars spent for food or accommodation. Been watching your videos from the first ones Matt. I figured it would be about 20k for the season as I use to be out there in Revy or golden every weekend Thanks and looking forward to next year
i love watching your videos and all your content, really looking foward to next season. sadly my riding season was cut short due to a tibia break, so thank you for putting out videos they gave me somthing to look forward to getting back out and doing.
Miss the sled vids in the A.M....boy you sure love your sport....good luck with new channel...from my lean-to on the mountain...D P.s....you should run for P.M...LOL.. we will vote for you
Overall that amount seems about right.. didn’t surprise me. Frankly I feel the cost is relative, if this is your passion gotta go for it, IMO. what’s the sense to working hard if you can’t enjoy the fruits of the labors. Thanks again for the awesome season Matt.. may have said it before but it was extra enjoyable for me, got a new boost this year and never even got to ride it, had to have neck surgery that canned my season, felt like watching you gave me a lift when I was bummed… have a great summer, will check out the new channel and eagerly wait for more content next riding season..
In 2019 I signed up for a 4 day snowboard trip to Kicking Horse through a company called "Ride Or Die". The trip consisted of A bus ride starting in Saskatoon with over 40 other randoms, a 4-day lift pass, and about 6-8 people assigned to a 3-bedroom condo. It was perfect for me because I didn't have any friends who did any of that, and honestly, I still kinda am in the same situation, nobody else I know rides a sled or is interested in it. I'm looking around trying to find something similar for sledding where I can join in without having to bring a minimum amount of other people with me.
Awesome video makes a guy want to save up to try it out would love to try this with my son even just for one month together really appreciate the video and all the hard work you put in !!!!
Love the videos. As always very informative. Being from Ontario and in BRP sales I can’t get enough. Keep on doing what you do!! As for the total cost where else can do take an 81 day vacation for $15k and always have a smile on your face.
Thanks again for the great sledding videos. Top quality stuff. We all hope you make enough off of your youtube videos to cover your costs of going there and having fun and sharing it with us. Till next winter stay safe n go make the money so you can go again next winter.
Thanks for the video. We do 3-4 trips to the mountains every winter and have been giving a lot of thought to combining everything into one extended trip. For me some of the expenses you mentioned are doubled since I have my wife to pay for as well ha ha.
Hello Matt thanks for providing all the entertainment over the past sledding season. You must have lots of video footage from your past few seasons of riding? Maybe you can compile a crash and bloopers video/ videos? Thanks keep up the great work.
Yup,been going to Golden for the past 10 years and costs have gone up a lot. Use to cost me $3000 for a month, all included. This year, $5000+. Crazy. But fuck it, it is worth it. I drive from Ottawa, so fuel is a big part in the equation, f*** Trud**** is on point. Left the sleds there this year, going by plane and renting a truck next season, should save some$$$ and time!!!! Would love riding with you guys♥️♥️♥️ Chris
Can’t put a price on happiness buddy! Haha it’s an expensive hobby but for those of us that do it and love it we would never complain. Awesome videos this year man! Love the comparisons your doing. Nice to see someone willing to do it and speak truthfully. Also enjoying the “work” content Subscribed 👍 ✅
Awesome breakdown, it’s been awesome watching you these last couple years always looking forward to your videos🤘🏼 when I think about pro snowmobilers you’re definitely one of the people that comes to mind, can’t wait to see what the future holds
Thanks for sharing. Prices are going up and will probably be even higher next season. Planning for and hoping to accomplish something similar up north in Sweden next winter, we'll se how that goes 🤞 Until then, I'll be fishin' with the long reach. 💪
Great to follow you all season Matt. Expected those costs for that duration. Way cheaper than flying and renting sleds for less than a week in day count comparison. Hard to believe the Doo turbo is so hard on oil over the Pol.
Listen brother you cannot put a price on happiness and freedom I bought the most expensive atv this year 2022 renegade xmr 1000 my dream came true I bought one and where I live there is only two of those bikes because of the shortages but do what you love money is nothing much love from cape breton!!!!
Sure have noticed the prices gone up for everything. Even try to fill the truck and trailer with sleds and buddies for one week trips. Made it out three times this winter. Hope to do it again next year. (At a lower cost fingers crossed)
That's about what I would expect for snowmobiling in the mountains for as long as you did. Would be nice if gas prices dropped next year. Cross your fingers...
Keep the Vids Coming!! Not too bad. But fuel Prices are off the charts.. Surprised on the trail passes .. In MN People Complain about 55$ for a 3 year PASS@@ Hope to See you at HAY DAYS, Matt :) It's great when a customer comes in and they see me wearing your Hoodie.. You Must Ride Sled>>??? I would definitely like to do the 30 day first Matt cuz I don't think my body would take the punishment you put yours through....at least not the first year but I'm a sled head myself...just want to say you put out some amazing content this session and I learned alot from watching your channel like how to get yourself unstuck without killing yourself lol and a better understanding on how to side hill steep slopes keep up the great content Matt can't wait to see what next year brings

thanks for sharing this with us! if I'm honest I was expecting it to cost much less than it did, I guess that's just because I'm not used to fuel prices these days 🤷♂
Yeah, that was a little less than I expected too, Matt. It looked like you had pretty nice accommodations for the $. Diesel and gas are crazy and probably going higher - despite the amount of fuel in the world, the politicians can't help themselves. It is pretty cool that you can ride 71 days for $15k. Looking forward to the new channel and riding next year!
Just subscribed to the new channel. I wish I could do what you do. For now I'll have to surfice with local riding when I can get it! Keep the great videos coming
That's alotta scratch 4 sure.. I would love to hit 🇨🇦 4 A month of sledding. Coming from Colorado it would be xxxpensive AF..someday perhaps..looks like Summit County and the Wet. Mnts of Colorado will have to do 4 now.. keep those BAF viddz Coming Matt..I enjoy watching them over n over..every yr..
Thats actually cheaper then I expected but still a lot of money. Now you add your 2 new sleds into the mix and your another 40k+. Crazy but worth it for the fun.
Your living your life the way you want! Someday if you have a Wife and kids the 70 days snowmobile adventures will be a memory. Thanks for sharing your adventures!

Hi Matt I always wonder what your doing for living ?
I know I’m one. But just wondering how many new subscribers you gained this year. You definitely earned every one of them. Awesome job Matt.

That’s a lot of money. But it is great content that we all love to watch.
That was a lot more than I was expecting! Thanks for sharing, excited for the new channel!!
Wasn’t totally sure how much it cost you but I was thinking more. Just nuts a few years back was half. Your pop up is 100% accurate. 👍
Little less than what I thought great info can't wait until next year!!
You’ve been the reason that’s been motivating me to ride, I’ve definitely learned a lot just by watching your videos. Can’t wait till next season!
Pretty awesome for you to lay it all out on what a really good winter sledding in revy looks like give a guys something to work towards ✌️

What a great video. Thanks for that cuz this will be my first first year going to revelstoke on a sled. Nice to know the prices. Nice to know. Woohoo
Thanks for sharing. Prices are going up and will probably be even higher next season. Planning for and hoping to accomplish something similar up north in Sweden next winter, we'll se how that goes 🤞 Until then, I'll be fishin' with the long reach. 💪

Flying and renting is great for a 4-5 day trip once a year but any longer and it’s gets crazy expensive
Well, I know I will continue to follow you as long as you(and me😂)are able. Already subbed the new channel 👍
Listen brother you cannot put a price on happiness and freedom I bought the most expensive atv this year 2022 renegade xmr 1000 my dream came true I bought one and where I live there is only two of those bikes because of the shortages but do what you love money is nothing much love from cape breton!!!!

Thanks for adding that up, I'm sure it isn't always fun... I'm off to the other channel, I've got to see how that septic went in!
Nah I’m always having fun haha
I love the Canadian tux seat on the sled behind you !!
It may seem spendy but Bang for the Buck, you just can't beat it!
That's about what I would expect for snowmobiling in the mountains for as long as you did. Would be nice if gas prices dropped next year. Cross your fingers...
Hey awesome videos this year of sledding and I thought it was going to be the same as last year and hope to ride with you nexts winter in Revelstoke
Keep the Vids Coming!!
Not too bad. But fuel Prices are off the charts..
Surprised on the trail passes .. In MN People Complain about 55$ for a 3 year PASS@@
Hope to See you at HAY DAYS, Matt :)
It's great when a customer comes in and they see me wearing your Hoodie.. You Must Ride Sled>>??? YES, i do What kind a sled do you have? Instant snowmobile bond :)
Good on you buddy! Hope the Chanel is starting to pay off. It’s good to see you be honest. Helps people make the decision if they want to do it or not
Thanks for making the vid! Have a good summer man!
Looking forward to next year, in the meantime hows the dirt bikin in Ontario?
I would definitely like to do the 30 day first Matt cuz I don't think my body would take the punishment you put yours through....at least not the first year but I'm a sled head myself...just want to say you put out some amazing content this session and I learned alot from watching your channel like how to get yourself unstuck without killing yourself lol and a better understanding on how to side hill steep slopes keep up the great content Matt can't wait to see what next year brings
30 days is good for most people. Thank you!
A little bit cheaper than I thought! Buy, still a lot of money. That being said, there is no price tag on doing what you love to do!
You’ve got that right!
Great info!! Might be worth starting a video production company.... Great way to write it off on your taxes as a business experience ...
Thanks for sharing man. Iv thought about going north and playing in the Canada snow and was always curious of how much it costs. Not that its any less down in Id. Awsome videos, thanks for sharing.
I love watching these end of season videos.
That’s around what I figured it would cost. A good rule of thumb I use is whatever the initial calculations are in your head, I always add 30% to 40% lol
Great. I am very happy that you can do it Matt. Awesome 😎.
A+++
You spent way more than I thought!
Hope that you are getting some kick backs from UA-cam ,and maybe some sponsors
"Trudeau must go".
Great video and great season!
I actually thought you might have spent more! Great video as always.
Slightly less than I figured! Not by much but I figured right around 20k for 80 days of pure heaven!! Can't wait to see what this summer work adventures bring and of course for the next season with the new sleds! 900R!!
Only you would break this stuff down ~ We love your intel.
thanks for sharing this with us!
if I'm honest I was expecting it to cost much less than it did, I guess that's just because I'm not used to fuel prices these days 🤷♂
Great breakdown, some do drugs, some do booze and some do backcountry snowmobiling 🤘
Love the videos! Stoked to see more work content on the second channel!
I thought you would have been closer to $25,000. Good on you. When you put it into perspective. People spend 10-15,000 on Mexico trips each year.
Went to Mexico 2 week all inclusive 2500 bux.
Love the videos the best sled videos on UA-cam by far!
I had great accommodations! I hope they don’t but it’s pretty much inevitable.
Thanks!
Just subscribed to the new channel. I wish I could do what you do. For now I'll have to surfice with local riding when I can get it! Keep the great videos coming
Any riding is still good riding
@@MuskokaFreerider definitely, winters haven't been so kind to us here In Maine
Thanks for this video. Have you ever ridden a snow bike? I think a snow bike next year would be awesome!
Hopefully the channel will eventually pay for all your expenses. Already looking forward to next seasons video's!!
That's alotta scratch 4 sure.. I would love to hit 🇨🇦 4 A month of sledding. Coming from Colorado it would be xxxpensive AF..someday perhaps..looks like Summit County and the Wet. Mnts of Colorado will have to do 4 now.. keep those BAF viddz
Coming Matt..I enjoy watching them over n over..every yr..
Thats actually cheaper then I expected but still a lot of money. Now you add your 2 new sleds into the mix and your another 40k+. Crazy but worth it for the fun.
