Alessi is probably the best trombone player in an ensemble setting, not to say that he doesn't have an a m a z i n g sound as a soloist, but Lindbergh is almost purely does soloistic works; as a result, his sound is more refined in that context. So yeah, Alessi has a great sound, one of the world's best, but it can be argued based on context.
