Nero Wolfe made his larger than life radio show debut on July 5th, 1943.
This intelligent detective show based on the Rex Stout novels, proved to be a natural for classic radio. Throughout the show's run, Santos Ortega, Luis van Rooten, Francis X Bushman and Sydney Greenstreet all filled the voluminous chair of Nero Wolfe. As well . . a large assortment of actors played the part of every blonde's hero, Archie Goodwin. The Adventures of Nero Wolfe show remained popular on the airwaves in different versions for eight years from 1943 - 1951.
