Yes you are absolutely right. Those Bissells are indestructible, they may not clean the best or filter the best but they're like little tanks. Just keep going and going and going.
I just curb-crawled a helix, tore it down, and decided that since it was free and I have a very good dishwasher, I'd try a little experiment. I didn't put the the turbohead, handle, hoses, filters, cord or motor in, but everything else came through sparkling, with no damage on a hot water cycle with regular detergent and no heat-dry. Saved a ton of time on the fiddly cleaning.
Thank you! I got this vacuum from the garage and it was completely filthy and I had no Idea how to clean it so I could use it properly. This video really saved me and the vacuum.
I hope he didn't damage it, because personally I would've just taken a disinfectant wipe to the cord.....that water can get inside the copper wiring and contacts and corrode and rust them making the vacuum unusable until he replaces the cord and switch
Yup! Periodically I get this response and immersing electrical items in water is completely safe, always has been. The trick is the quick drying process. Mild heat with airflow and everything dries with zero issues. Been doing it for years and you can see me bathe many electrical items in other videos.
This is what happens when someone who is used to only bagged vacuums buys a bagless and expects the same level of maintenance and/or does not read the manual.
@@VacLab cool I already did it very easy to disassemble there are some parts that are hard to find for correct part number like the lock n seal lever I bought mines for 30 and the motor sounds good
At this rate, you're bound to move up the ranks by finding a Samsung-made Cleanview in the garbage next 😂 Also, it looks like the little blue Bosch is becoming your new primary canister...
I empty the filter on the vacuum I have for hard wood floor sadly it broke all the way to where it won’t run so I got a brand new one coming but anyway cleaning the filters in the vacuum needs to be done even though it’s nasty to do people can’t keep vacuuming without cleansing the filters it loses suction when the filters are dirty vacuum cleaners are like cars
We should tell people to throw out their old vacuum because of COVID-19 then us collectors can go outside and look in the trash bins and start looting 😂
Great Find 2 Bissels in just over a wk. Did i see the powerlead in the bath ??? i have to use laundry sink to clean my rebuilds , If i did mine in the bath the misses would kill me 😂😿Waiting for next follow up video.
And the difference between both hoses is that mine is not that long and it has a piece that’s clear in the spot where it enters the bin and while I am vacuuming I am able to see the dirt from the clear thing that it has and yours does not have that and it’s a little bit longer than mine
Gross! Most of the cheaper bagless machines (mostly Bissells) that I get are about this dirty. Most smell like cat pee and cigarette smoke too. I do give EUP a lot of credit. Their models that they manufacture for Bissell hold up absurdly well for what their owners do to them. I have seen some that really should not run turn out to be completely fine after I restore them. The Samsung-manufactured Bissells are interesting as well. The EUP models have better motors to service, though. That's helpful because if they do not have dirt caked in the fan, they usually smell awful in every crack and crevice. The Samsung motors tend to be more finicky. I would pass on them, but I have found that people really like seeing these Bissells. Unlike Sharks, Dirt Devils, those Eureka Optima and Airspeed things, and more, I at least grab a Bissell if I see one.
I’ve found a few of those. Usually a good cleaning of the filters.. and cleaning of brushroll and under the cover. Then usually give them too a landlord friend who uses them at his rentals. His have mega cheap vacs or none at all..
What luck to find another Bissell. Another great video and journey to share with us. Here’s to your passion & dedication! Thank you.

This vac was manufactured on the 199th day of 2008, according to the serial number. So it was made July 18, 2008
I’m one of your fans
Intellitech studios you know everything
That vacuum was made after the day after I was born

@@VacLab Oh okay. This was just the first time I saw you put the cord in, that's why I said that but thanks for the info!
Yep, I have done stuff like that. If you dry it properly, it will be fine.

Great video, enjoyed the music.
Thanks!
I just bought one cleaned all the filters and ordered new belt the owner vacuumed dust you think I should dust out the motor or leave it
I would blow out the motor. I always do.

How did you remove the top part of the vacuum chamber? I removed the one screw on the tower, but it's still pretty stubborn to get out.

The pre motor filter in your bissell powerforce turbo did your bissell powerforce helix have that pre motor filter in it
I do have an early Bissell Cleanview Helix with all of its attachments but no models sticker. Very dirty and family got it in 2009 or 2010.

1:37 that hose is like the hose that I bought for my bissell powergroom bagless

We used have these in the uk but we don't anymore. I kinda want one
Hey vaclab do you take risks when you put electrical items in water
I have a PowerForce turbo from 2010 it is a beast machine considering it was six foot underwater
Those things are super tough. I swear they never die!

when that done put back together
It takes up more space when apart, so I'll put it back together.
Are those two bissells found at the curb
Hi! How do I get the post motor filter out of the blue power force?? Thank you
You have to take the body apart. See the red PF Turbo disassembly video.
Good job at cleaning your bissell powerforce turbo
Could you please do an update video on the Bosch
The red one or the blue one? The red one was gifted to Thomas R. and the blue one has a playlist.
VacLab On the blue Bosch
@@VacMaster2020 the playlist has 8 videos for this machine. That's all I have for now.
VacLab ok
Why does that power force helix have a powerforce bagless base???
What bissell is better powerforce helix or powerforce turbo
Overall, the Turbo wins but the Helix has better fine dust pickup.

Hey Bill will you please do an Andrew Vaclab whole house cleaning video of The Bissell Power Force Helix and The Bissell Power Force Turbo?
Why do you keep asking for my son to vacuum? I have repeatedly said no and asked you to stop asking.
Hello I've found the same blue vacuum as you using
Whole house clean bissell turbo power force
Coming soon.
@@VacLab these were troopers. I just got a 2004 model in worse condition then this and it runs just fine
