@@riddleTCG yeah I can understand that. Grading has an added thrill element on top of the other conventional aspects of protecting, authenticating, etc that I very much enjoy. You get wrecked sometimes, but it’s part of it. Congrats nonetheless!
They didn’t stop - though perhaps (with this card having 5 signatures) there’s a limit of how much of the card may be covered up before they can’t properly grade the surface anymore 🤔
Not sure but Rudy specifically discussed it in a video at the event, not sure if they will use it or not. Sounded like he was saying , at least for PCG USA, they would only Auth signed cards.
Grading is a meh thing. I've heard of people who didn't even know what card they were grading during the pandemic due to the increase of people needed due to COVID-19 demand. But if you're a collector of the high end stuff, why not?
You are definitely right, during covid, especially with pokemon and sports and mtg it was easy to grade anything and people would pay a premium for it. I think now people are a bit more cautious and educated though to look at pop reports and that is a good thing
@@riddleTCG Yah, I was specifically mentioning one of the reprint cards from Magic. There's a clear symbol that marks it as a reprint that was totally missed. But why wouldn't you do it if you had, say, a black lotus? no matter the condition it's going to add a few thousand bucks to the price you can get for it.
