I feel like this episode in particular should be shown in school curriculum across Canada. So educational about things we wouldn't learn otherwise from primary sources like Alex. Also very inspirational, and would be great to teach kids the value of nature and preservation. Great job Jim and Ted!

It fits in well with the outdoor education courses that are offered at the high school level. Most high schools in Ontario provide the course under the name "Healthy Living and Outdoor Activities". If you're looking for the course, look for the code PAD1O1 (gr 9) PAD2O1 (gr 10) PAD3O1 (gr 11) or PAD4O1 (gr 12). It could fit in a few other courses as well, such as the grade 9 geography or grade 10 history, some of the aboriginal studies courses, science courses under the ecology unit...

Alex seems like such a knowledgeable guy. I have the utmost respect for the native peoples of the Americas.
My great, great grandmother was full blooded Cherokee but she passed the year before I was born. I wish I could have know her and asked her about her past.
    Great adventure fellas!

Hi guys... Recently discovered your channel. Started with documentaries about thru- hiking the Appalachian Trail. My father-in-law did the Georgia to Maine trek years ago. I've hiked sections of it. Started following this Southern gal who took off on her own and, once completed, got trail fever. Did the Pacific Crest Trail, then the Continental Divide Trail. I so enjoyed going on this adventure with her. Then discovered Girl in the Woods and Bushradical. By virtue of that connection, discovered you guys! I thoroughly enjoy binge-watching your wilderness adventures! The solos and the ones with your wives.
Lived in Minnesota for several years in the 90s. Your videos take me back there. I miss it, blizzards and all! Lake Superior, couldn't get enough of it! Keep it up!
