- Introducing: FrameGUI. The new and easy way to interpolate a video to 60fps, or up to 140fps. Unlike other tools that require you to define parameters to interpolate frames in videos, FrameGUI allows you to do it in a little number of clicks. To encourage future development of FrameGUI and other tools, be sure to SUBSCRIBE with notifications turned on.
FrameGUI will ONLY work on Windows OS, 64-bit; no other OS' are currently supported.

Result: i am very happy with this program, the video may have some artifacts, but it is still very good even if your video is sd. The program works SUPER fast, the installation, the encoding all works flawlessly, even on an 7 year old laptop. Very nice program.
That is really helpfull..i was struggling to make my videos much smoother coz when i records, my fps drop(in video) now i can make it better ^^
Had difficulty with DAIN and Flowframe, FrameGUI works like a dream.
Had a few slow, choppy 30fps videos that it interpolated brilliantly to 120fps without chopping. Although I suspect that 120fps provides no benefits to 60fps, but alas.

Thanks! If the sharpening is too much then you can decrease it or disable it altogether.

I had an error on the 2.0 so I came back here, Im using it for my ps4 pro gameplay recording (since ps4 pro only captures 1080 at 30 fps) and I also have an option to upscale to qhd 1440p at 60fps. Thanks so much DaGoose!
I'm really surprised that this works on a low end pc/laptop, other softwares require a good discrete graphics card in order to interpolate videos, but this one doesn't need one and it's just amazing.

@@dangerouslybad58 I still use it ! My PC is slow and it can take some time but it works! It easy and doesn't take to much of my CPU!
Great job. I really liked it. But there are missing important options. For example, it would be much better to have saving in uncompressed or lossles formats - ffv1 / lagarith-YUV or YV12 and so on. However, the video you converted was of excellent quality and does not require further processing. But when someone like me tries to improve the quality of old video, he uses several editing programs. And constant rate quality is not the most preferred form of compression. Nevertheless, thank you for the good video and the work for it, but also for the clear explanation and the program!

by far the best video i've seen so far it works like a charm
It really does. Other apps ran out of memory with 4k footage, but FrameGUI works fine on an average gaming PC.

@@pikapikalis Ok you clearly don't have a functioning brain, FPS increases only work on videos with a stable animation, a.k.a a constant frame rate so if you use a game and you drop frames you will experience issues, also literally every video you see of FPS comparisons using AI is always animations and not games and also websites also use animations to give an example and even state it's for animations so do your research first moron

Frame gui should have a mode easy mode where it preserve the whole video as is and just converts the video to 60 or what ever frames at the highest best settings for not artifacts and smooth clean motion i know with encodgui this can be done but haveing something easyer would be amazing with the highest settings for audio and video and fps

encoding process complete after (HH.MM.SS) 00.26.17...But the video doesn't play...I did the same setting as you said...But what I am missing ?
So you're saying that I can record Minecraft in 30fps to make the game as smooth as possible when recording and switch it to 60fps to make it look like I was recording at 60fps in the first place? Awesome!

TIP:- There is sharpening in the 60fps version of trailer, you can set the sharpen to 0 to get the original picture quality

Could you maybe add minimal input fps 12?
Animations rendered at 12 fps could then easily be interpolated to 24 fps.

I have a problem with FrameGui or the problem is just my recorings i've took. I keep getting "Stream #0: not enough frames to estimate rate; consider increasing probesize" i want some help with it. Can you help me with it?
That isn’t an error but a warning that FrameGUI couldn’t estimate the frame rate. Your video is converted regardless (just ignore the error)

FrameGUI will only go up to 120fps, but I can change that. I’ll send you an update of FrameGUI that will allow you to go up to 140fps tomorrow

Does anyone else have issues with AMD Ryzen 9 CPU following this guide? My computer just shuts off halfway through encoding every time (I assume my CPU temperature gets too hot). Ryzen 9 3900x; 32GB Ram. Did someone with similar hardware find a solution ?
Your assumption that it’s getting too hot is most likely what’s happening. Your only solution is to get the proper cooling hardware for your machine.

Hey man, you are just amazing on this part. Just had one doubt In the latest version if you see in Encoder Settings -> framerate tab we can't change framerate and in SVPFlow -> Input FPS is fixed. can't we change that?
1. The frame limiter is disabled when AviSynth is used
2. Input fps Is automatically assigned now

Fantastic app release! Question. Does this encode videos in CFR or VFR? Because I don't see an option to enable CFR Output.
It will encode both but it’s only suggested to use CFR videos because SVPFlow doesn’t like VFR videos

Hello, I hope you can help me, I want to leave a mkv with the same resolution on DVD that it has, when I change it to 60fps it does not have 4:3, it stretches the image and the stripes around the video a little, I can't find an option to It doesn't do that to me when they are mkv dvd quality 4:3, any solution? thank you so much

I need Help to work-around with this issue.
Svp is fast for frame interpolation, but RIFE, DAIN, CAIN, and FLAVR all give good results.

Hi, I tried using your program. The quality of the output video was way worse and oversharpened than Hybrid. The output video has much more artifacts and the program also reduced the bitrate of the video. I used the same settings as you told in the video, still, the output of Hybrid was better. The FrameGUI output was also blurry. Please fix the program.
If it was over sharpened, then don’t use the sharpening option. The sharpening method in FrameGUI is exactly the same as you see it in Hybrid, so there shouldn’t be any difference in terms of the quality of the sharpening. If you’re having issues with the bitrate, then decrease the Constant Rate Factor value even more.

For example, focus cannot be set to 0.8.
What does CRF Value mean? Always set to 17?

Decimals for sharpening are accepted. You have to manually type the value into the box.
CRF means constant rate factor, it’s an encoding mode. CRF of 17 provides a visually lossless video. Read more here: trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Encode/H.264

When sharpening in smooth mode, I enter that 0.8 and FFmpeg error window occurs.
For me, only the whole values are accepted when sharpening.

You are getting it for a reason: videos with a bit depth of more than 8-bit can’t be converted. One use videos that are 8-bit.

Yes, noticeably better. There will be less aretefacts overall as the conversion uses FFmpeg with AviSynth+ directly without piping.

This method uses SVPFlow, which is considered a non-AI solution. DAIN is AI-powered which allows more smoothness, but artefacting can be more prevalent. SVPFlow has comparable smoothness to DAIN and RIFE (when using the right settings) but less artefacts (especially on small objects)
