I saw Ox, Blackjack Mulligan, Don Jardine, and Art Neilson at a convenience store four miles from my childhood home one night while my father and I were getting gas in his truck. They were cordial and said hello to us while I gassed up my Dad's truck. I told them I loved to watch them on tv. Jardine said good night as he was getting into their van. Mid Atlantic had great heels through the years and that group was top of the line.
Studd held 6 singles titles and 10 tag team titles. I think either Ox's memory was slipping by the time of this interview or he just wasn't completely keeping up on John's career over the years. Which also leads me to suspect he's thinking of someone else running that gang, because Brody was a sportswriter before becoming a wrestler.
I find it hard to believe that Brody ever ran a Mexican gang before getting into wrestling lol. Before wrestling he was a football player and sports writer. I think Ox was just keeping kayfabe alive with that comment 😂
I know guys who were associated with a gang, and one went on to become an accountant and the other a lawyer. There was another of the same group who played university football. There's another of the same group who went to the Marines and even got into Force Recon. There was me who had put in more work than all of these guys put together and i had plans to go to the Army and be infantry and try out for spec-ops but i broke my back before i could go. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise because 911 happened a couple months later. I personally wanted to go in case a war happened but now looking back, i think everyone almost knows what really happened. @ronaldfielder9584
"Never dabbled in organized crime." Not according to Ox Baker here "He was trusted and beloved by ALL. " Ask the guy that he kicked in the head several times who ended up giving Brody a dose of karma. Good wrestler though when he wasn't being a bully
My money is on Bruiser Brody to beat Blackjack Mulligan in a real fight but Jack would give Frank a run for his money a little bit but Bruiser Brody would come out as the winner
Lol ,Ox Baker and Superstar Graham are the last two people I would think would complain about some ones wrestling,Hulk would actually run circles around them if he just pretended he was in Japan
RIP to the late-great Ox Baker🔥

I remember seeing him when he was chosen to be a contestant on "The Price is Right."

He got a lot wrong in this interview. I think he had a little permanent kayfabe
Actually,
Big John Studd was National Tag Team Champion with The Super Destroyer (Scott Irwin) in Georgia/World Championship Wrestling in the 80s.
I think he meant topsingles titles?
My dude Mr ox. What memories 😊
He said Studd never won a belt but he won the WWA tag belts with Ox Baker.
"When in doubt knock them out" shout out to Blackjack Mulligan . The toughest man in wrestling.
please tell me there is an extended edition of this shoot where you asked him about his awesome appearance in 'Escape From New York'
"Vatos Locos Forever!" - Brusier Brody
Wow...never knew Brody ran a gang 😮
Brody was a sports writer for a newspaper in San Antonio before he started wrestling
@@ronaldfielder9584
Was it a gang like in Newsies?
I doubt it, Brody would've never taken such a pay cut

my friend drew that shirt ox is wearing
Bruiser Brody was a gentle giant. He was trusted and beloved by ALL.
Lover his mama, churchgoer. Never dabbled in organized crime.
Loved Sky-Daddy
"Never dabbled in organized crime."
Not according to Ox Baker here
"He was trusted and beloved by ALL. "
Ask the guy that he kicked in the head several times who ended up giving Brody a dose of karma.
Good wrestler though when he wasn't being a bully
I hope that story about Brody defending Snuka in Japan is true
I liked Ox but I don't think Brody was running a gang before wrestling. He was a sports writer
Studd won tag belts a few times.
I think Ox is confusing toughness with stupidity.
Very thin line between the two
My money is on Bruiser Brody to beat Blackjack Mulligan in a real fight but Jack would give Frank a run for his money a little bit but Bruiser Brody would come out as the winner
i dout that black jack had hands
@kennycarlson9996 No way
Ox is just carried out a storyline
Hello
Lol ,Ox Baker and Superstar Graham are the last two people I would think would complain about some ones wrestling,Hulk would actually run circles around them if he just pretended he was in Japan
I agree. WWF Hogan? Laughable. A cartoon character in tights. Japan Hogan? A serious competitor and a force to be reckoned with.
This guy gives good interviews for a corpse!
Ox Baker is dead. What was this an A.I. interview. Come on title match network get real
