If you’re looking for a very interesting book of the same genre, Code Girls by Liza Mundy is excellent. WWII from an academic woman’s perspective. Additionally, Sonja Purnells best seller, A Woman Of No Importance, is a page turner. Same genre.
I did finish it - took me a while. There were parts I enjoyed (his early life, classes at the university, earning his talent pipes), but the entire relationship with Denna made me roll my eyes and his narration became more annoying and decisions more frustrating as I read on. Overall, it was a disappointing reading experience so I settled on a weak 3-star rating.
@getbookish yeah, I gave it a 3 out of 5 as well. I thought the second part would be better but that is also not so good (3/5 stars). I read the two parts in my native language (Ukrainian). But I thought that the ratings were really high on Goodreads because of the word play in the English language which sadly cannot convey the true meaning
I mean that the translation cannot convey the true message. Sorry for my bad English, but I'm trying to improve it. I've read the whole series of Song of ice and fire in English and 6/7 books about Harry Potter. Hoping to improve my language skills further on. Have a good one!
Also after Harry Potter and Deathly hallows, I am planning to read Hobbit and Lord of the Rings in English. Wish me good luck, it's gonna be so fun, I'm so hyped :)
That's great! It's been years since I read The Hobbit & Lord of the Rings, but I think LotR will be a good challenge. Even as a native English speaker there were challenging passages just due to the details and writing style! Good luck!
Im a book reader but i always come to your videos for watching your acting. i don't know why im doing this ,but i really interested to meet you physically. And your way of talking 🤦
Oh, well it's very similar in person too I would say. Certain videos involve more planning and focus, but these kinds of videos are very casual, which I like, so my energy reflects that.
Will be looking forward to reading Book and Dagger !
I may do a standalone review if the reading experience warrants it!

I have Code Girls on my TBR bookshelf and I've heard of the other one as well!
Have you finished the Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss?

@getbookish gladly to here that you also believe in energy, frequency and vibes. That's exactly I'm saying...
