I let my kids open up their gifts from each other on Christmas Eve. That’s what my parents did ❤. I give them a budget and take them shopping for each other.

I love the white birds for Christmas decor. I think sitting next to the garland they’ll look so pretty. I love the woodland Christmas theme with wicker, pine cones, Forrest green, and a more brick red than bright red. Your decor looks great. I need to get those LED candles. I can’t wait to decorate! I need to go through my boxes while my oldest is at school bc the elf is in there & I don’t want her seeing that. 😅
I actually got those stacked mugs...the ones with Santa, Snowmen, and I think the reindeer....? I do need a Christmas wax warmer thought!

I've been doing the Elf for 9 years. I was kinda hoping we were done with it but my 12 year old asked when the Elves are coming back.

Girl I switched a lot of my base decor to neutral colors. (Such as vases, pedestals, cookie jars, trays, large bowls, dough bowls etc.) So all my base accessories are white, cream, clear glass, wood, or stone- and it’s so much better! That way I can layer bright colors for each holiday over those or around those items, and it’s been great. That way I only have to store a few large items, and I can use them year round and they “go” with every holiday. So I don’t feel the need to switch out everything in my house for each holiday. It’s less stress and a LOT less work for me. I can enjoy decorating for each event again.
I said all that to say you should keep your birds out, and your little green plants. Not everything has to scream “Christmas” in order for things to look good. My house is still plenty colorful (I don’t decorate with all neutrals ever)- but I’m switching out a lot less items. That way I feel like I can maybe spend a little more on those serving items I use all year, and really only buy those things that I absolutely love. I know your decorating style has never been super over the top. (Mine was) and I’m happier now for pulling back. I’d say keep your neutral items out. All the different holidays can work with them. Especially if you move them around the house and place them in new areas.

Why put out Christmas so incredibly early? Honest Question
Content creators do it early to give people decorating ideas. I use to not put it out until the day after Thanksgiving until I started my UA-cam channel.
Content creator or not my Christmas decor is already up.. put it up yesterday 😊 when you have little kids it’s fun to see them get excited… plus after thanksgiving I’m so wore out I do it the week before now
@@ashfam5 I have 6 kids and a grandbaby I love the season of Advent and the Christmas Holiday season I just never remember seeing Christmas going up so quickly and people actually decorating so quickly I also see Christmas as a Holy season and not so much as a hallmark holiday we do so much in tradition and preparing and activities. I just think in my 45 years every holiday seems to be pushed quickly and Christmas is put with Halloween
@@mikahbowden8320 yea true, I say too each their own if people want to decorate early I say go for it. If not then don’t. I too see Christmas as a holy holiday celebrating the birth of my savior Jesus Christ it’s a holy and scared month for my family as we teach the TRUE meaning of Christmas which should never leave our hearts at anytime of the year!
