My highlight moment of 2024 was Lookman's MAJESTIC, MAGNIFICIENT Europa Cup Final performance. That basically solidified his African Player status in concrete. Every other thing was just "cherry on top". Rooting for him to win the Scudetto and the Copa Italia this year. Champions' League title would also be nice, but the competition, is tough. In terms of sentiments, Lookman has taken Messi's place in my heart. 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰
My best moment of the Afcon was defeating Cameroon. There was something about that game, not just beating one of our arch rivals, but we saw the best of our team from defence to attack. Osimhen & Lookman were on a different level, especially Osimhen. I wouldn’t pick the South Africa game, because we were actually poor and were saved by the duo of Nwabali & Osimhen.
I concur with Ayo T, not renewing Pesiero’s contract was my worst moment of the year. Even though the Afcon final loss was equally a low moment, , but I’ll trade the Afcon for a World Cup berth.
Also knowing our key performers are hitting their prime (27+) , the question is do we have the players to take the mantle when their form start dipping (because when you get to the top, you either stay there or start coming down)
Nigeria's problem is management. The NFF is a complete joke. The sports ministry (former) was run by crooked politicians. Nigerian football should be run by former Super Eagles players, particularly those who played internationally for top clubs. The sports ministry should be run by people like Segun Odegbami. These are people who have sacrificed for Nigeria and remain passionate about sports. Our performances in all our teams have been subpar because of a lack of quality coaches as well as mediocre management. We don't play enough friendlies. The result is that we never have the right criteria to select either coaches or players. We haven't had a strong Super Eagles for a while. Our defense and midfield are not strong enough to compete. The energy level is not competition level. Our attack reflects the lack of preparedness. The players are experimenting. We need one or two more tough, agile, smart, and resilient defenders. Perhaps these can be found in the local league. They will be raw, but they can be developed. Taribo West was raw but improved as he played with Uche Okechukwu. We need two new Wilfred Ndidis (at his prime). This CHAN team has one or two players that should be called to the camp.
The Bundesliga is a good move for Orban, to polish his game, but so I thought of Ligue 1. He just needs to be focused and avoid unnecessary distractions, or else he’ll fail again.
Lol. Smith Layi being diplomatic by saying they grew up early. We know age falsification is a thing we hsve to confront asca people. Adokie was attacked when he tried regarding Firtune Chukwudi.
I got no entertainment value from the Benghazi debacle for our team. They could have died. Remember that in 2012 the American Embassy in Benghazi was attacked by gun men and the American Ambassador to Libya was assassinated along with some staff members. This was no joke😠😠😠😱😱😱.
I remember one agent, I won’t drop his name saying Dennis loves London the Premier League and he’ll thrive here and I was just laughing. That guy is just an unserious arrogant joker and I knew it right from Club Brugge , he’s finished. He had no business joining the Super Eagles and I kept saying it, but fans felt I didn’t know what I was saying.
To be honest we aren’t really a football loving country, from viewership to stadium attendance and team support. Even the way the government, NFF treats it, shows we don’t love the game.

Enjoyed this show! Well done, people
Thanks for watching!
Nnadozie is number one for me.

The issue with Super Eagles players, especially the homegrown, is their mentality.

How can a foreign coach who hasn’t been appointed already have domestic assistants, this country.
Good to see Ideye back, but River United slept and it’s their loss.

Not renewing Pesiero’s contract was more than a mistake, it was a calamity and just shows those who run our football are clowns.

I don’t think either of us said it was entertaining….
Super Falcons really disappointed me at the Olympics, I had so much belief in the ladies, but they weren’t up to it.
Player welfare and management is so poor in the NPFL. Amokachi was always gonna fail, he’s just not good enough.

Very true
Nothing impressive about our Afcon qualification, it was a poor campaign.
