Those cameras are a very useful bit of kit at the workbench...I have a "TOPDON" unit and I like it's ability to take photo pix and overlay them with the heat data. Didn't know you were a Retro-Computer guy, still have my original Apple II from '79! TNX Buddy, great work! 73 - Dino KLØS
A very useful tool for the bench, have one here as well, a "TOPDON"...really like the dual camera that can overlay a photo pix with the heat display as well. Didn't know you were a Retro-Computer guy, still have my original Apple II! 73 - Dino KLØS
I do like this camera, except for a few points. First, you don't get the entire -4 to 1022 degree range at once. You get -4 to 248, then 248 to 1022. Or -20 to 120C then 120 to 550C. Second, I think you already alluded to the fact there's no audio with the videos. It also would have been nice to have a way of tripod mounting this. Its long battery life is a big plus compared to my FLIR that I use with my phone.
Nice thermal cam . Is it cost effective compared to other brands ? Some are quite expensive . Think this would be great for the hobbiest. Another great video, looking forward to the next :)
Please do more retro computers. Not too interested in test equipment or boat anchors, but I'm also into restoring both antique consumer tube radios and 80's computers!
Wow haven't seen a "Commodore 64" in many many years. I graduated to the "Commodore 128" back in the day🤣. Nice presentation.
My first home computer was a VIC 20 before the 64 came out. I.must say some days I wish I still had it

Hi Dino, I have TopDon unit as well and will be doing a review of it soon. Oh yes, love old retro computers, looking for more at the moment.

When I first dot the TopDon it would not work right, after spending time with the supplier all fixed now.

I agree. But guess it is built down to a price. Would not be too hard to make a mount for it though. May work on that part.

I think the price is great for what it is. To really do better you would have to more than double the cost.
Thanks Buddy - nice review of a very useful tool indeed, at a good price. Always a pleasure to watch your videos!
Thanks for watching my friend

I have a few more planned out to do, plus some old 80's game consoles.
Great video. I enjoy your videos so much. Thank you!

So when you retire, are you going to open a retro computer gaming cafe for us old-timers? 😂
