Celebrating the 60th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin’s first human spaceflight with a special documentation of ROW audiovisual installation shot-in-one take using industrial robot, moved in sync with realtime generative content emphasising parallax effect of ten individually controlled spinning led fans.
In 2011 the UN declared April 12 as the “International Day of Human Space Flight” to remember the first human space flight and to promote the exploration and use of outer space for peaceful purposes and to the benefit of humankind.
Through ROW: Signals for Space we interpret the possibility of getting response signals from outer space and the ability to perceive and translate them.
We believe that multimedia art is a space for global synergy and exploration that can push humankind towards new discoveries and ways we interact with the space around us, within us and between us.

these are those fan like rotating display things, like two blade fan with LED on it, rotates and computer controlled to time the blink to be a display. Theres array of them against a wall, filmed by a normal camera. Sound overlayed/added.

Thank you 🙏🏻 we create algorithms for interconnection of generative processes (audio and visual content cross pollinate each other) forming a deep sync of parameters. Hardware synths receiving data from visual objects (speed, rotation, etc) and sending back randomly changing parameters causing visual feedback. So these objects feels alive.
Camera/Robot position data in XYZ used to animate stereo-field of sound sources, so you can feel presence and interaction with the object.
