Actually was a preschool teacher for years, and I totally agree the permanent things in your classroom or your playroom are better if they’re neutral colored. the toys add so much color it can be very overwhelming and busy for some children if there’s too much color
I definitely agree but I think you should still have a good amount of color in you playroom/daycare because it is scientifically proven that color makes people happier!
As a classroom teacher, I’ve shifted to a neutral “homey” palette of sage green, soft grey and light blue. This has allowed my student work to pop against this background. With so many kids overwhelmed by so many loud and colorful things, I’ve been trying to tone down my classroom to be welcoming and calming.
@@amazingavery5222the science is actually a lot more complex than “color makes people happier,” my friend. As a fellow early childhood educator, I completely agree w the original comment.
@@emilythatsinger I never said I disagreed with the original comment, and you shouldn’t overwhelm things with color, but I don’t think you should completely remove it from a classroom, or playroom, A little bit of color is still important.
@@amazingavery5222Agreed, the all-neutral colored kindergarten classrooms make me sad. Color won’t kill your visitors/students.

you could swap the fabric with those colorful playing silks. The playing silk could also be used for playing too.
Since you build a lot of toys you might want to invest in some allen wrench drill bits. You can get a set of metric and imperial for under $20 then you can definitely use your drill.

Thought for punch cards in relation to the master list. Since new system maybe mark there card if they have signed the master list so when you get out there punch card will see right away if they have signed instead of having to check the list. Just a thought! Love the videos!❤

I think one of those simple wooden rocker bassinets would be the perfect add for the house area and baby stuff! You could probably get a nice one second hand that would be in great condition

I recommend Ballwin! I used to live there, and it is amazingly protected and safe, police officers are everywhere, and your kids will be happy and safe, plus people are so nice and friendly, and my kiddo was riding her scooter in the street and a car came by and rolled down the window and said hello, and politely asked her to move out of the way! I was very impressed and happy.
Im not sure how big your building is but it would be cool to expand for older kids and have like arcade machines or somthing idk like big kid toys nerf guns idk what kids play with now a days but

Hi, I have a question what if a kid with disabilities goes into your play room like: autism, Tourette’s or just get really overwhelmed easily is there something special that you would do to accommodate them?
To help with the seat coming off the umbrella stroller I sewed a couple pieces of string to the fabric were it slips onto the front posts to tie it to the frame. Worked well for my child but not sure how it would work in this environment. Velcro would work too.
