How to crochet a children's Tunisian crochet smock stitch dress - The Penelope Dress

- This tutorial will show you how to crochet a baby / children’s smocked dress.
This dress can be made in 8 sizes from 0 - 6 months to 6 - 7 years. This tutorial follows the pattern for size 0 - 6 months. Detailed instructions for all sizes are included in the written pattern.
For this dress you will need a 4mm crochet hook and a 6mm Tunisian crochet hook. You will need DK weight yarn - I used Drops Merino Extra Fine yarn.

Nice 👗 💕💜💖 tutorial video. You didn’t mentions , For making big different Sizes for example for 2 years or 4 years then how many chains needed to started?… is it the number of chains has to be Add number?… also if we don’t have that kind of Hook with cables what we can used?… thanks 🙏🏼

Thank you. I numbered the rounds this way so that the tutorial can help people following the different sizes along with the written pattern. The number of repeats of round 2 for each size is different x

Please can we always take measurements in inches, this helps with size calculations based on body type and not age. It will be better than using chains. I will love to make the bodice for my myself, so i can make a tulle skirt to go with it, but now I dont know how to go about the measurements. I am 31 years old.
