I remembered getting my 1st car. I was 29 years old in mid October 1999. My 1st car was a 1998 Ford Contour SE in light denim blue. It had everything that I wanted in a car. It was old school with having a radio with a tape cassette player in the car. I even gotten my driver’s license in mid December 1999. I didn’t get my license when I was 16 years old. I waited for getting my license for almost 13 years. I have a little bit of a learning disability when I was a kid growing up. I was born normally. I was just little bit slower than anybody else. When I got my car first and practiced driving it before getting my license. When I first test drove the car that I forgot my wallet that had my permit in it. The car dealer drove down towards this one back road that didn’t have any traffic on. I drove the car a little bit during the test drive. Even my father did,too. When I first got the car my mother drove it towards this one town and back towards my apartment. I let her drive it since we were on a highway. I wasn’t used to highway driving at that time. It took me about a year and a half of driving to have that courage on driving that highway. It was so different back then in early 2000’s. Now these days that I’m very calm in driving on the highway. Now I drive a 2020 Ford Escape SE in black. I had different vehicles over the years. I loved the modern technology in today’s vehicles.
