Subarus are not for everyone, but in places where there are slippery roads and ice, they sell very well. Their AWD system is superior to most, great for sport driving. Malakas siya sa gas especially compared to newer or 2wd/FWD vehicles. First of, it is a 2.5 liter turbo engine from the WRX, with a boxy crossover body, and it is full time AWD (not part-time like CRVs and the likes). Malakas din dahil naka aftermarket full exhaust ka, get it tuned to optimize. If you cruise about 80 to 100 you will get the best fuel consumption, or higher kph without turbo boosting. Each time you engage turbo boost more fuel is used, like any turbocharged or supercharger engine. I own one, since 2009, a 2010 model release. Like any vehicle it has its maintenance interval. And like any vehicle, there will be repairs as it ages; nothing is perpetual. Cost depends on what you will replace, more expensive than a toyota definitely. But the plus side and advatages are, it leaves a big smile on your face going through twisties, you have power and confidence especially in wet or slippery conditions. For me, I maintain it because it gives me the power on tap like a sports car, a roomy-practical-versatile amount of space, and peace of mind driving through most tropical conditions. Hindi yan pang overland ah, kaya huwag icompare; crossover yan. You get the best combination and comfort for street and light offroading, mas comfortable yan kaysa montero or fortuner. It rides like a sedan with higher road clearance. Actually the stock ride when I bought my XT is like a Camry. My advice, maintain it well, like any car. If not, you can expect trouble just like any car. 😉 If you are after tipid sa gas, get a Mirage or a hyrbid and call it a day. Most sport oriented engines consumes more fuel than regular. Anyhow, enjoy the ride.

    2012 Forester SH Non-Turbo

  • @neiyhegz27

    2010 subaru non turbo ko

  • @uchusera7669

I am using a Forester 2011 non turbo here in Canada, kung icompare sa conventional car sa pinas mas malakas talaga sa gas, pero yung purpose ng awd/4wd na over weight ang gas consumption, pag winter most likely safer at iwas abala.

Boss baka may mitsubishi lancer itlog review naman dyan. Hehe.

  • @akosinatoy1090

Ingat Sir!

  • @dexternuqui753

Boss, 2.5 Liter Turbo DOHC AWD yan gamit mo….

  • @kevstaisan

  • @ryantabangin5403

At an average of 100km/hr at tplex nlex, gas consumption for my 2009 forester turbo heavily loaded, around 10km/l

  • @harttyjowellsabiniano1233

    anong model forester mo papi?

  • @Kaihl

Awd ang difference kaya malakas sa gas in exchange for Super bilis na kotse at pogi

  • @jasperzeppicornejo7488

U get what u pay for nga, and be ready talaga sa gastos hahaha.
