Am planning to invest the little I have got from the house maid job into water melon farm after watching this video it has given me more strength to start up I know I can thank you for this informative message👍
One thing i really like about your show Linda is the fact that whenever you are in the farm interviewing farmers is that, you are always asking questions as though they are coming from us upcoming farmers, I mean we really are left with no more questions to ask, keep it up girl! thumbs up.
I'm very happy to see this video showing how the water melon is being planted and how to handle then within the appropriate time. This year is my first season to produce water melon but I'm very quiet sure that with this video things will move very good. Thanks a lot for sharing this video.
Thank a lot. Very informative. Does the farmer use the melon fly traps or what method does the farmer use to control melon fly?. Id like the agronomist contacts for more on melon fly management.
Great work. I was wondering if you could also have Swahili subtitles and/translations in the clip? I think it might be worthy for diverse rural farmers in most East African countries. Greetings from Tanzania
A job well done girl. Mark u, I didn't know u r that eloquent in a queens language. Besides, I like what u r doing coz it's not only informative but educative. Apparently, I would like to know whether can somebody pay Mwende so that he or she can be taught on how to farm watermelon?
Good job sister. But with animals am advising you to get empty bottles of mineral water, put 2 or 3 little stones in them. Cover a lid. Then get small tall sticks of 7 ft. Push them hard in soil but you need to give them a spacing of about 15 metres from one stick to another. Then tie up gauze and tied up on our bottles with stones inside around the garden. When you see a monkey or any animal grab a stick and shake. The bottles gonna make a lot of noise and the animals gonna run away. I personally have been using this method to chese birds and monkeys from rice or maize when I was still doing farming back home in uganda. You will tell me the results. Monkeys will never even come near by your farm. One it helps you to cut the numbers of askariz. Secondary the askari would not move that far to chase an animal. Am telling you that method makes animals go crazy.
Here in African we are still doing traditional farming which means our produces will not be enough and we will never able to feed our nation/people. There should be an investment from the government end and we also to engage with our business people. Also, our youth should leg up in the sector since almost 60% of our population are youth. Agribusiness will create more jobs for the unemployed youth in our settings.
Good job. Very encouraging. Am a starter now preparing 1 acre of land at homabay county. Plz can I get your contact and may be the farmer's contact for more continuous inquiry
With all due respect, the interviewer ought to dig for more information. She's doing a good job but she can do better with a little bit more of prior preparation.
Exactly chemial is not good but its high time farmers to use Bio chemical for better health .avoiding Cancer and some sickness well inalingana na mfuko 💰💳💶💶💶
Awesome! Blessings to everyone if you haven't yet repented and accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord and Savior please do so before it's too late it's not God's will for none to perish Acts 2 vs 38 John 3 vs 16 Romans 10 vs 13
Dissapointing to watch. This is crazy! Farmer, food, land and environmental capture by seed and chemical companies. I'm afraid for the farmer a few years from now. 20 per kg which isn't even that sweet of a deal may cost you much more in less than 20 years. Stop dancing with this chem companies. Google - route to food alliance - and learn more about better ways to approach farming.
Am a water melon farmer in uganda,I have 3 acres it's my first season for the start, thanks so much for this show learning never stops

A beautiful lady
From Africa taught me how to use black soldier flies.
Kudos Toto 💕💕💕
Nice advice from the Agronomist
Nice gig, I really wish we didn’t rely so much on chemicals. Would be nice to figure out natural remedies to pests and diseases like neem Oil.
i agree
Good luck with that. With watermelon, you have to apply herbicides.
Wish you knew how this chemicals are made in the name of ''selective " you would have a different view.
Any advice on how to grow healthy watermelons without fertilizer?

@Linda, I am interested in this farm and his areas to learn a few tips. what are the contacts please?
Poor interviewing skills. She didn't do her homework enough to have relevant leading questions
With all due respect, the interviewer ought to dig for more information. She's doing a good job but she can do better with a little bit more of prior preparation.
