One thing i really like about your show Linda is the fact that whenever you are in the farm interviewing farmers is that, you are always asking questions as though they are coming from us upcoming farmers, I mean we really are left with no more questions to ask, keep it up girl! thumbs up.

I'm very happy to see this video showing how the water melon is being planted and how to handle then within the appropriate time. This year is my first season to produce water melon but I'm very quiet sure that with this video things will move very good. Thanks a lot for sharing this video.

Good job sister. But with animals am advising you to get empty bottles of mineral water, put 2 or 3 little stones in them. Cover a lid. Then get small tall sticks of 7 ft. Push them hard in soil but you need to give them a spacing of about 15 metres from one stick to another. Then tie up gauze and tied up on our bottles with stones inside around the garden. When you see a monkey or any animal grab a stick and shake. The bottles gonna make a lot of noise and the animals gonna run away. I personally have been using this method to chese birds and monkeys from rice or maize when I was still doing farming back home in uganda. You will tell me the results. Monkeys will never even come near by your farm. One it helps you to cut the numbers of askariz. Secondary the askari would not move that far to chase an animal. Am telling you that method makes animals go crazy.

Here in African we are still doing traditional farming which means our produces will not be enough and we will never able to feed our nation/people. There should be an investment from the government end and we also to engage with our business people. Also, our youth should leg up in the sector since almost 60% of our population are youth. Agribusiness will create more jobs for the unemployed youth in our settings.

Dissapointing to watch. This is crazy! Farmer, food, land and environmental capture by seed and chemical companies. I'm afraid for the farmer a few years from now. 20 per kg which isn't even that sweet of a deal may cost you much more in less than 20 years. Stop dancing with this chem companies. Google - route to food alliance - and learn more about better ways to approach farming.
