I’m with you. My prof is awesome but he is so intense and speaks as if everything is life and death. “Don’t make the mistake of thinking heat is temperature” “okay? Don’t make that mistake” like whoo, I hope I don’t. This vid was understandable and actually relaxed me.
I thank God for you, because an hour long chemistry lesson left me confused but you have made it clear to me in 3 minutes, God bless you and all your goals
Thank you so much for making these videos. They've really helped me a lot. You have such a unique teaching style that manages to cater to all learning types in a way that makes the information seem less challenging and easier to grasp. Thank you so much!!!!
Hi Melissa, I am a Biology and Enviro teacher who has been thrown into IBDP Chem for a term to cover the teacher who left. Just wanted to say thanks for the videos. I haven't done much Chemistry for 25 years or so (other than what I need for Bio) so you've been a life saver, particularly with Hess' law. OMG what a nightmare and soooo badly explained in the IB text book and on Kognity. I feel for the students.
Thank you so much! I can not say how much I appreciate what you do. I've been diagnosed with ADHD and now taking medication to help. But I have my exams in 2 weeks and need to have things explained in a clear manner so it doesn't take up precious time. Your page has been so helpful to me.
okay...I don't know I was paying attention when reading my Chem course....but what this lady said I was able to understand clearly. Thank you SOOO much.
This shows the power of how just slowing down and explaining at a reasonable pace influences how much the student understands. Sometimes quality of explanation is more important than quantity!!!
I liked how u simplify and make it easy to get in our minds , i looovvveedd the decoration of the entire video ,creative way to simplify Hess's law , thank uuu soo muchh!!!!!!!
Ok you have a new sub! lol College Gen chem student here..... i could have spent 6 hours re-watching my prof's 2 hour lecture video OR i could just spend a few minutes watching yours.... GUESS WHICH ONE I CHOSE? THANK YOU SO MUCH OMGGGG
Thanks you so much omg I've literally been stressing out this past week because I had no clue how to do hess's law. This video helped me so much!!! I really appreciate it
i was watching other videos on hess's law but i couldnt grasp them, and yours clicked in my head right away. thank you so much for making it so simple!
I can't believe I leaned how to understand these questions in 3 minutes after reading/watching other stuff for over an hour lmao, I might have to bring a highlighter with me to my exam! That helps so much since there's so much going on
You are incredibly underrated. You deserve more subscribers considering how much help you are for kids struggling in science! Keep up the good work! 😁👍
wow! this was soo helpful and ya i do have a major test coming up in a days time ...fingers crossed thank u so much for helping me out be happy always:)
I wanted to say thank you SO much for this video. I’m doing grade 12 chem rn and this concept is kinda tricky to understand. It’s funny because up until this point thermochemistry was fine lol.
Omg so helpful!!! Thank you so much! A lot of the stoichometry questions you are infamous for are more grade 11 content where I’m from, delighted to see some grade 12 stuff! Can you please do more thermochemistry questions like this such as rate law? I have a test in a few days!
Went to my Chem 2 teacher for help, and she overcomplicated it. Three hours with her tutor on campus, still unclear. Watches Khan Academy and study.com videos, still confused. Stumble on this 3 minute video and finally get my first Hess law problem correct on my own. Thank you for simplifying this for all of us non sciency people.
Hi Melissa, thanks so much for the video i was wondering if you have a video with this problem: 'in all calculations, assume specific heat capacity is the same as water (4.2 J g-1 K-1) For both reactions, write full ionic equations and calc enthalpy change for the reaction when 25cm3 of 1.0mol dm3 of h2so4 is added to 2.0 mol dm3 Naoh the tempreture rise is 13.0 If anyone can help me i would appreciate it
Hi melissa! Really appreciate your videos. Could you maybe do one about HOW to study for chemistry? I find myself doing practice problems and homework, but it just doesn't seem to stick. Am I missing something? Thanks!
I get lost in all the formulas very easily. I just had an exam on calorimetry and enthalpy, and I just cant seem to match the questions with the formulas that I *think* I know. I always feel like there are a million things I need to take into consideration, so I et overwhelmed and just forget everything
Oh my god I’m AN IDIOT!! I understand now but because I didn’t understand it at first I didn’t bother to look online for help 🤦🏻♀️ wow my quiz grades could’ve been higher I’m so mad!
When this makes perfect sense, but the book decides to filibuster. I'm convinced that whoever writes these textbooks are purposefully trying to teach this subject in THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE.
Your teaching style, direction, aesthetic, and overall vibe is unmatched, thank you and I wish you the best!!
Thank you so much for noticing, glad you like my teaching style 😊
I wanna know how this woman helped me in 3 damn minutes when other videos confused me for more than 20 minutes.
How.
ikr!! it just clicked I prefer math over chemistry and learning its much like alegebra I'm feeling 10x more confident
I’m with you. My prof is awesome but he is so intense and speaks as if everything is life and death. “Don’t make the mistake of thinking heat is temperature” “okay? Don’t make that mistake” like whoo, I hope I don’t. This vid was understandable and actually relaxed me.

You are an angel! The struggle I was going through to study for my 2nd Chem exam and you cleared it all up for me, bless your soul!
The first 1 minute already helped me find out how it works. It's so helpful thank you for this.😊
Ironically I have a test tomorrow about this talk about good timing :)
Thank you so much for making these videos. They've really helped me a lot. You have such a unique teaching style that manages to cater to all learning types in a way that makes the information seem less challenging and easier to grasp. Thank you so much!!!!

I learned more from this 3 minute video than my teacher's 1hr lecture. You gave me an A on a test. Thank youuu!!!
okay...I don't know I was paying attention when reading my Chem course....but what this lady said I was able to understand clearly. Thank you SOOO much.
My professor literally explained this for 2.5 hours and now I understand it within 5 minutes. You’ve made general chemistry so easy for me!
This shows the power of how just slowing down and explaining at a reasonable pace influences how much the student understands. Sometimes quality of explanation is more important than quantity!!!

So neat, this is motivating
Thank you! 💕
your videoes are so pretty loved the highlighters and washi tapes
Thanks
I love you ❤️❤️❤️❤️ thanks a lot
I love you 😭
thank you sm!
You're welcome 💕
Thank you so much😙😙.
You are so welcome Stephania! 💕
Hii
what if for the 3rd equation half of the answer is on the correct side and I need to only multiply an oxygen by 2 to get the matching carbon dioxide?
You're saving me from drowning in IB Chemistry. Thank you!

Aww thank you, bless ya too 😊
I have liked all your videos 😏
isnt Carbon and Hydrogen in its element form? making them 0? meaning its enthalphy of formation 0?
You're amazing 💗 thank you pretty
😍😍😍😍😍😍very good
Thanks for the video, one piece of advice would be to make the g, l, units smaller, they are distracting to me.
Should not the answer be -146 kJ because of sig fig rules?
She is the best subscribe to her
i love tou

Oh my god I’m AN IDIOT!! I understand now but because I didn’t understand it at first I didn’t bother to look online for help 🤦🏻♀️ wow my quiz grades could’ve been higher I’m so mad!

You did in 3 minutes what took everyone else 20. My degree goes to you.
😂Why thank you
I love you
Where have you been all my life???
When this makes perfect sense, but the book decides to filibuster. I'm convinced that whoever writes these textbooks are purposefully trying to teach this subject in THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE.
I feel the same sometimes
Please work on writing your 5's in a more defined way. It kept getting me caught up because your 5's look like S's.
Where were you all my life
Waiting right here for this very moment 😂
i do not understand this... like at all and I'm paying close attention to detail.
Hey Sean what part isn't making sense?
