  • Thomas Szapucki's first Major League start was one to forget as he allowed four home runs and nine earned runs total in less than two innings of work as the Giants routed the Mets, 9-3. The only bright spots for the Mets were Francisco Lindor homering for the second straight game and Jeff McNeil's spectacular sliding catch, crashing into the side wall along the left field line.

    If Thomas Szapucki was the Best Starting Pitcher in Syracuse to be Promoted, then the METS better Trade for a MLB Starter if/when Necessary. There’s No Tylor Megill type Pitcher that’s going Help the METS this season from the Minors.

      N they hav a brutal road trip coming up, I got a real bad feeling that they will be in second place by the ASB, u hav no starter u can trust, Degrom n Scherzer aren’t goin to be back till late June the earliest, the bullpen is a concern, n now Escobar is hurt

      @@slapshot68 Not 2nd place, we're one of the best teams in MLB let alone our division. I know LA and SD are coming up and IO think Angels, Astros, etc. this will be a good test for us, but believe we can weather the storm.

    If you think this team is going to make the playoffs, you're mistaken. The Mets have incredibly inconsistent pitching and offense, regardless of what their record states. They may look "good" right now, but by the end of June, that tune will surely change. While this comment may quickly be disregarded as too pessimistic, I would argue that it's realistic, and the truth hurts. I've been watching this team break my heart for over 20 years, and I don't expect that to stop now.

      With half there rotation out for a couple months, the decline could start now for them. There is no saying how well they pitch when they get back either.

    I just knew this team was going to get blown out today after last night's loss. It still baffles my mind last night why would you pitch to Joc late in game with runners on when he was owning the mets all night. my biggest fear is if this team makes the playoffs mets get knocked out because of buck or Diaz

    • @jtubelee
      @jtubelee 2 роки тому

      Bro you need to come back to today and let tomorrow worry about itself. You just knew that they were going to get blown out? No you didn’t. You didn’t know; how could you? Is that really a truthful statement? No. Not at all. No you didn’t know. They could’ve surely ended up winning this game like they’ve won their 29. We are in May and you already have a great fear in your soul about the post season; brother you might need to take a break from baseball and go on vacation for a week or 2; or just fast baseball and get your mind together. Ask God to help you. You can’t live in yesterday, today and the future. Just right now today this moment and on to your next moment. This is just 1 of those games where the absence of Degrom and Max can be felt more that’s all. Look how phenomenal they’re playing without their top gun and the rest of the weapons that are on the shelf. THATS what you have to be looking at. Not complaining, worried or scared out of your soul about something you can’t even know is or isn’t going to even happen.
