Join me on a very short budget trip to Lille, France. I have been wanting to do a solo trip for a while but I finally plucked up the courage to go! I saw mega cheap return tickets to Lille with Flixbus and knew that I just had to take the opportunity!

Trip costs:
Return train journey from Norwich to London: £40
Tube journeys: £5.40
Return bus journey from London to Lille: £34
2 nights at The People Hostel: €49 (including city tax)
Chips at the hostel: £2.58
Le Fournil du Temps (croissant): £1.81
Parc de la Citadelle: free
Monsieur M (sandwich, drink and dessert which was delicious!!): €9.90
La Bellezza (pizza and cocktail): €24.99 (this could have been a lot cheaper had I not have bought a cocktail)
Vianney Degruson (torsade): €2
Vielle Bourse: free
Patisserie Meert (ice cream): €6.10 (I allowed myself 2 treats for the trip. This was one of them and my cocktail was the other 😋)
Palais des Beaux-Arts: €4
M&S (lunch, dinner & snacks for the journey home): €18.30
These are all the main costs. There were a few other minimal ones e.g for water or a few euros for the odd snack :)

Wish to see where the coach stops and whether the everything u visited was in the vicinity.
Hi, I don’t totally understand your comment but I think you’re asking how far away the coach stops from the city? If so, then it was a 30 minute walk to my accommodation which was pretty much on the other side of the city. It’s not a huge city so everything is quite close together 😊
From memory the coach stop is the "other side" of the Euralille train station (not the side nearer the city). About 10 to 15 minutes walk from the centre. From London, the Eurostar train takes you to Lille in about 75 minutes from GBP39. 4th visit coming up in a few weeks time. The 3D city maps in the basement of the Palais des Beaux Arts are amazing. There's plenty to do and visit including a small zoo plus the nearby towns of Roubaix and Tourcoing which are within Lille's public transport region and the travel passes are cheap. There are at least 2 reasonably priced Aparthotels if you want a bit more privacy and luxury than a hostel
