In this video I talk through each step in First Level Test 1 version 2019 developed by the United States Dressage Federation (USDF). First Level Dressage is the second level in Dressage where movements and figures become more complicates including 10 meter circles at the trot, 15 meter circles at the canter, as well as trot and canter lengthenings. - Фільми й анімація
Hi Everyone! I needed to make a correction in this video... A judge who was watching this video corrected me that the judge will NOT take away points for posting on the wrong diagonal. The judge may make a comment that the horse will balance better if you are on the correct diagonal but you are not required to post on the correct diagonal! Good to know and thank you for pointing this out!
That's good to know, thank you!
Huh..👍🏻
Thank you for this video. I'm currently schooling this test. I appreciate that even though you are an upper level rider you are doing videos that help the average dressage rider. So helpful and appreciated.
Thank you so much for posting this! I have my first First Level test in two days and it helps so much to watch how it plays out and hear tips. You’ve been a huge mentor for me, Amelia ❤ Maureen Brock and Tofer the wonderful 22 y/o KWPN
Very informative as usual. Another great video. I'll have to remember the term, "ice cream cones" and thanks for the tip of getting the horse in shoulder fore when reaching the rail after the lengthening.
Yes! I love the ice cream cone visual!!
Awesome thank you so much for the voiceover notations! So helpful!!
I'm so grateful for your generosity, Amelia!
❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, I find these so helpful. And really motivational that I'm pretty sure my new training level horse and I could get decent scores on most of these movements, we might be closer to moving up than I'd assumed. :)
Super! That's great!
I thought, “first level, that should be easy”. Then I watched it. Not so easy! You make it look great!
Right?! It's hard! Especially first 3!
You inspire me! 😊
This video is super helpful! Thank you!
You made that easy for us to understand - it makes me feel .......maybeeeee .....one day I could acheive this .... exciting
Yes! You can! I believe in you :)
🙃🙋♀️ Finn and I will be taking the course! Hopefully we can still go to the Amateur championship in July! Gotta work on 1-3! Great video!
Is it rider discretion to sit the trot or post. My Morgan moves so smooth I can sit her trot and it looks like l know what I am doing. Haha. I really enjoyed watching you go through the pattern. I would really enjoy seeing you compete.
Thanks so much for doing this video! I found it extremely helpful. I’m currently working on this test with my horse and this has helped me so much!
