We have my husband’s great grandpas Norwegian wood skis that he made when he immigrated to Wisconsin and handmade them. I keep them up all winter, next to our faux fireplace.
I would never take mine along. He’s a depressed miserable old man who doesn’t like to go anywhere or do anything around the house. It hasn’t always been like this but when I got rheumatoid arthritis I couldn’t do everything anymore. So he just sits waiting for someone to wait on him.
I love the videos lately. They seem to have a different vibe. Have always loved your vlogs but especially now - your joy for life is spilling over. God’s love is showing through you. Xx
I alway love your treasures and your home. I take my sister ( she’s actually my church sister) out thrifting once a week. We truly are sisters at heart even if we’re not biological sisters. We’re both in our 70’s, but we love finding treasures. I’m her enabler and she is mine. We don’t NEED anything but we find neat things we like. We probably shouldn’t still be collecting things at our ages, but it gets us out of the house and brings us joy to spend time together. My spouse calls us Thelma and Louise. So when I find things she likes, I point them out and of course she does the same. Ok, enough rattling along. I love watching your channel and I’ve set her up with your channel as well. God Bless you sweet Andrea and may the Lord Bless you and your beautiful family.
I have my mother’s wooden sock stretchers hanging from ribbon year round in my laundry room. ❤ Years ago the socks would have been made from wool or cotton so that is how they dried them. I am 62 years old and I remember my mom putting my dad’s socks on them .😂 I love all your Christmas home decor. ❤️ Your husband’s comment is a universal man saying 😂😂😂😂 My husband of 42 years says the same thing. 😂😂 . Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family.🎄🎅
Andrea, your finds are beautiful in your home, they all look so intentional and edited. You put so much thought into your purchases and the results are perfect.
The cowbells would be worn by reindeer also. Add jingle bells to a leather belt to make a reindeer harness, with the cowbell taking the spotlight at the bottom. 😊 I have an antique one that’s black cast iron. ❤ We used them to ring (one of us would sneak outside on Christmas eve night)to trick our little one into thinking it was Santa and his reindeer ♥️
@ One of our beautiful Christmas memories. She would get so excited. My dad worked for the railway and while one of us rang the bells, he’d simultaneously walk up the next ridge, even in snow, with his red lantern. She’d be squealing and screaming by that time….”I see Rudolph’s red nose”! 😂 One year one of the bells unknowingly came loose and she found it after the thaw etc. She was so beside herself! We displayed it on the hearth as Rudolph’s lost bell. 😂 Such a special time but equally wonderful teaching her that the real gift of the season was in the manger. (Obviously we live very rurally in western NC.) The “lost bell” was actually from my husband’s Powwow anklets that year which we also used for Christmas!
Let your husband know I agree with him on the cowbell not screaming Christmas even though I know you will style it beautifully and prove us both wrong! 😆 I do love the striped pottery!
I'm a potter and a collector so I looked up the striped pottery! I found one line that I thought was really interesting. Look at Robinson Ransbottom Pottery. They were in Roseville, Ohio for over a century. Of course there could have been many studios producing similar pieces. It started out as Ransbottom Brothers Pottery. The marks on the pieces range from no mark, to a blue crown, to RRP Roseville. This confuses some people, because of the addition of the Roseville name. It's not the same as Roseville Pottery......just made in the same town. Hope this helps! Have a Merry Christmas!
Very interesting, I incorporate decor what I have had passed down. I don’t have a cluttered look and it look cozy, things that tell a story of who I am growing up. I love bells at Christmas time as well as skis, snow shoes, sleds and lantrens.❤️🌲😊🙏🏻
Love the cow bell I have 2 different sizes in my stash. You just encouraged me to bring them out❤. Never to late to add christmas decor, only 10 sleeps left!!
Isaiah is so cute. ♥️. I love your snowflake sweater and the pitcher you purchased looks lovely in your kitchen. I would have bought that cow bell too😏. I have a cow bell hanging on my pergola near my garden. Love the sounds it makes.
Your sister will love the picture...btw love the brown sweater. You always look so nice, brown is a great color for you:)I have always enjoyed seeing your grandma's angel bell in your wreath each year, such a special memory:)
I love your videos so much you always do such a great job. I love bells as well I have a large cow bell I put a velvet ribbon on it and leaned it against some books.
There was a pottery business for many years in Marshall TX that made everything in the style of your pitchers. I have a few pieces. Sadly the company is no longer there. If my memory doesn’t fail me. It was named Marshall Pottery.
You guys made me laugh about the cowbell😅. I like it alot I know you will style it well. Also glad you purchased the pitcher with the blue stripe it goes well with your collection you have going on.
Hello familia!! Hoy me a entrado el vidio muy tarde pero el vidio me a gustado mucho muy bonito todo os deseo unas felices fiestas y feliz navidad para todos un abrazo. 😘❤️🎄🇪🇦
Andrea - So many lovely treasures. Where did you purchase that snowflake sweater? It's festive yet classic and understated. Have you been to the antique/flea market in Bay City by the old fashioned candy shop? It's huge. A day trip in and of itself. Have a lovely evening. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎤
@@judithmitchell4667 Judith it’s a small world. We actually border Essexville. I love the area we live in. There are nice thrift stores here as well. And we are getting a Hobby Lobby in 2025! Yay..
I absolutely love the patina on the cow bell. I like the little blue crock … I keep a stash of baskets in various sizes and use a lot of open storage, but sometimes I want something with a lid for Qtips, cotton pads, or prescription medicine, and somehow I never have containers like that on hand. Yours would be perfect for that … or you could use it open too like you mentioned. It would also be good for spice storage
“What would you use it for”? “Not screaming Christmas to me” exactly why I rather shop with my sister, my husband, not so much 😉😜😝 oh, and tie a ribbon on that cow bell 🐄🤗 🌲❤️💚
GUYS! What would you use that for?…. Sounds exactly like my husband…. Which is saying… STOP SPENDING! MERRY GRINCHMISH! Thank you for taking us shopping with you. I enjoyed everything even MR GRINCH.
Mike's question, "What would you use it for, " is so important. So many thrifters and antique shoppers buy endless things, with no idea as to how they would use them. The small blue crock is a perfect example of wanting it, but not needing it and not sure where you will put it. This is most certainly not a reprimand, Andrea, just a friendly suggestion to stop your house from overflowing with things that have no purpose.
I am often more remorseful over things I didn’t buy than things I did. If I really love something I always find a way to use it. My cowbell is on the garden gate 😊
Hello Andrea, what is the name of that antique store ?..I’d love to know. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family!!! Love your videos, thanks so much for your time and gentle nature! Frohe Weihnachten !🎄🎅🏼⭐️
@PineandProspectHome Thank you. I love your style and your videos. My house is primarily antiques and thrifted goodies but has much more color. I'm always tempted to go more neutral but also love my colorful stuff. 😉
We have my husband’s great grandpas Norwegian wood skis that he made when he immigrated to Wisconsin and handmade them. I keep them up all winter, next to our faux fireplace.
That is awesome! 😊
I'm glad you got the cowbell...
Me too 😂😊
Your husband's comments are exactly why I leave my husband home when I am antiquing and thrifting. lol
Haha got to love husbands 😂
Mine too. If he goes with me, he waits in the truck, lol.
I loved everything in your home, your taste, your style. Thank you for sharing. You are one of my favorite u-tubers and Amy Fritz 😍
Thank you so much! ❤
I was so glad to hear your husband make the same type of remarks mine does when we go antiquing! 😂
Haha that is too funny. I really do enjoy going along with him though!

Enjoyed the video today. The coloring in your home is so soft, elegant and peaceful looking. Love all of your styling tips with your wonderful finds!

The cow bell SCREAMS Christmas to me as well! Velvet ribbon...1/2 off great price! The dancing Santa...that gave me a laugh!
Thank you!! 😊

Awww..your boys are adorable, best time is when they wake up from a nap, so SWEET. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU AND YOUR SWEET FAMILY!

The cow bell just needs some ribbon and piece of pine added and then it will look like Christmas 😊❤
Great suggestion!! 😊

When I saw the pitcher in the antique store at the start of your video I thought "Andrea needs that for her collection. I was glad to see you got it.
Aww, I love this! I was happy too! Thank you for being as excited as me!
My radio flyer sled that’s 66 years old still sits on my family’s porch every Christmas.
That is so special! ❤
The needlework picture for $25 was a steal…beautiful.
Definitely!!

The apothecary cabinet would make a great tea organizer 😊
Oh yes, definitely! 😊
I love using small crocks as a little vessel to hold flake sea salt next to our kitchen stove. It's also fun for whole nutmeg and a little grater.
Great idea!! 😊
I love going shopping with you. Love the things you have ❤❤❤❤❤❤

The older pottery is salt glazed pottery. The older pieces will have a gritty texture. Merry Christmas!

It's salt glazed pottery. It has been made for many years, and still is, in small potteries all over the US.
Thank you for letting me know!! 😊
You have such a good eye for antiques!! Everything goes so perfect in your home!!
Oh thank you! 😊
Is that piece of wood above the stove painted on? I thought it was real until I see it doesn't go around the corner of the area. Cool.
Love your vintage simple style….very tired of house tours full of Hobby Lobby decor😜
