It's no cake walk but it's not high or medium security federal prison where gangs run around and it's not dirty disgusting state prisons that are also full of gang members. I have anxiety and being at McDonald’s is still my favorite job. The constant stress of being in the kitchen and on line was able to take my mind off of it. I also loved being able to take out the trash and take a quick smoke break. Everybody was cool as hell there. That being said, as a crew trainer, I saw quite a few people break under the pressure.
I’m still in awe of these people saying “I’m not going with you” and “I’m not getting in your car”.

When I was younger I was a manager at a burger King and I had an employee clean out the fryer and they left a rag in the bottom and it caught on fire. I used the oil fire extinguisher and saved our kitchen from going up, I then called the DM to tell her what happened and she only responded with, "do you know how much those cost(extinguisher)." Yeah Marilyn we are ok.
Class ABC Amerex 20lb multi-use commercial extinguisher for organics, flammable liquids and gases and electrical fires = $172 at Home Depot. Value of an avg fast food restaurant = $1,000,000. Marilyn needs to repeat elementary school.

I get those periods of anxieties sometimes too, but would never do such a thing either. Anyone who does that, can go to jail for a long, long time depending on the severity and depending on what a judge decides. Either way, I would never commit arson or such heinous crimes like that dude. This is exactly what happens when the consequences finally catch up for people who do bad things and get held accountable for them.

I’m not proud to say, but when I was 17 and washing dishes at a busy seafood restaurant, i flipped the switch that turns off the exterior lights on the building and sign, which was the official way of saying the kitchen is closed. Which was something that ONLY the head chef did. He instantly noticed and yelled “you touched my sign,boy?” and then told me to get out his kitchen lol. It was my last night regardless and I never worked in food again. It takes a certain type of person and I only have respect and gratitude for them

I once worked at the Golden Arches and have seen my fair share of chaos. One time during Lent when they were doing 2 for $3 filet-o-fish we were short staffed on a Friday night. During my dinner break I suggested to manager on duty that I run to gas station and grab a case of beer. He said not to worry as he had a fifth of Jack Daniels in his car. If he has to serve 5 years in prison for arson, then the criminals that hijack innocent drivers at gunpoint should serve up to 15 or more years, but instead, 99% are placed only on probation, which says alot about our backward Justice System.
