My husband years ago used to put second stories on small ramblers in an affluent area. People loved the area but wanted bigger homes. He did several of these but he finally started just putting the homes in a dumpster and building just what people wanted. It actually ended up being more cost effect and they got exactly what they wanted.

While the Balsam Hill trees look great….please be aware that they have lighting issues. My first Balsam Hill tree’s lighting only lasted the season so we contacted them and they gave us a replacement tree. Sounds great, right? That replacement tree lasted two years and no more. I will NEVER spend that kind of money again on a tree. I’m not the only person to have these issues. My son had the same problem.
I love the hutch outside! I would love to do it but wood furniture won't survive without maintenance in the winter in Canada! 😅. Enjoy it Love your video girls❤
Your tree looks beautiful as well as your porch & yard. I have done a tree with faux fruit. I used different color and sizes of grapes, oranges, lemons, pears and if you want you could use artichokes and any other fruits & vegetables you like. I loved the look of my tree….it was different, but AWESOME! I added a few ornaments and pinecones….WAHLA!!!! ❤
Oh my goodness….I too put in a dozen nail holes when I hang anything (drives my hubby CRAZY)! I never measure either…guess I’m too impatient, but hey I always get it done ❤️
tip: get cabinet boxes at a big box store like a lowes or Home Depot, then add custom cabinets... there are Many selections of sizes. i have made several custom Kitchens this way & is cost effective if you can not afford custom...

I actually love bleached weathered wood in the patio. It is true to the space. There is sunshine and elements and it does affect the look. I would pay extra for that look! As for Dads secret sauce of hand watering.... I can so relate. I find hand watering the most peaceful, zen experience. With sunshine and a slight breeze, its pure heaven. I was waiting for the 50K room reveal at the end... but it never came?

I've had a similar plate wall for 20 years~all white, too. I recently interspersed old cutting boards with them. You can get the plate holders at craft stores and sometimes WM. I use heavy straight sewing pins tapped in gently for small, light items like hats and garlands. They don't leave big holes!
You both and how you interact reminds me of how my daughter and I interact and/or work together. She, just like Shelby, tells me to "just do what looks nice" or "you just do it, mom." She always wants my input, which is flattering, but sometimes I just need to encourage her to put some ideas out there for me as a source of direction.
