The aircraft is NOT on private property if it's in OPEN AIRSPACE. There's definitely law to prevent criminal damage. Speeding is also Illegal weather you are caught or not.

Shooting the drone down in a lot of places will bring a charge of shooting at an aircraft which is not an insignificant charge. Even if the use of firearms are permitted to use in that area.
A legal sub 12ft lb air rifle. Would have trouble hitting something over 100 yards away. You would definitely be safe at 400 AGL. A BB gun would have trouble going 20 yards. 😂

I presume he means air rifle,but why not a paint ball gun..The main problem with his logic(which is none existent is)the twelve guys who turn up dressed all in black wearing body armour shouting and coming at you very aggressively pointing fullbore semi automatic weapons at you, don't know it's just a BB gun and will take no chances on presumptions..
