From cherry tree to NURSERY - Vertical gardening (max. synergy)

The dear good Mollison (co-founder: Permaculture) has taught us to always dare to try the following: Each element should perform at least two or more functions in our ecosystem. The cherry tree not only offers me (for self-sufficiency) and the birds the opportunity to harvest delicious cherries. Rather, I can transform it into a nursery. I can use its strong branches to hang climbing plants. Beds planted under the cherry tree also receive a free layer of leaf mulch every autumn. Of course, the cherry tree has many other functions, such as being a pollinator, a pollen supplier for the bees and a source of shade on hot summer days and a windbreaker, so that a sun trap can be created in the adjacent area.
