Hi Mala, this process of propagation is really good and Im enjoy doing it. So far I always have success using this process of propagation. By the way thank you for visiting my UA-cam channel 😊🙏
Hi Em's, thank you for sharing your tips. I have never tried pinching the tip out before, but I will definately give it a try. Your Mardi Gras are looking beautiful. It is definately one of the nicest Aeoniums, i love the colours!
So GORGEOUS… I love love this MARDI GRASS ,,, on my wish list … At least learning from you about her beauty before I will have her . Thank you for sharing Ems ,, so inspiring 💕
Hi Ems, I only have the one plant of Mardi Gras , so this video was very helpful. I’m going to have a look at it in the morning and see if I can be game enough to punch out the centre as you did. A most helpful video indeed . Thankyou . I have subscribed and liked 👍👨🌾😄
Hello Margaret thank you so much for subscribing and welcome to my channel. I also started with one Aeonium Mardigras. I have the same feeling with you when I pinch my mardigras. The feeling of ruining the beautiful looks makes me hesitant to do it but Since I want to have more of this without buying then I just closed my eyes and just do it. Now I end up few and sold some as well😁. Just make sure you do it when they are not in dormant stage. Good luck 😉
Hi Evelyn, I start with 2 small Aeonium mardigras and I beheaded one of them and it gaves me a lot of pups. I’m sure by doing this it will give you more babies too. As long as the weather still cooler.
That purpleish echeveria really cought my eyes. What do you call that echeveria Ms Ems? I am new to succulents and have never own one or planted one before.
I've just got my first aeonium which is quite small but I don't know how to care for it. When is the dormant months, and do I still water? Any help would be much appreciated. I'm in the UK so weather can be a bit hit and miss. My plant is indoors at the moment as its April and we've had high winds and heavy rain. Thank you 😊
Hi Susan, winter is the growing season of Aeonium and summers is the dormant time. During winter since my Aeonium is under cover I water them when the soil is dry.During summer I water my Aeonium once a month but not deep water just mist it. But every grower has different style.Thank you so much for watching my video ☺️🥰
@Emshomesucculentgarden thank you so much for replying. The information given has helped me understand my plants needs more. I have subscribed to your UA-cam and will watch for lots more plant information. 🪴 x
Hi Donna it’s best to do it in cooler months start in autumn, winter and spring. When the weather start getting hot they become dormant. Thank you for dropping by😊
Hi Ofelia , Aeonium is best to propagate in cooler times, so fall and winter will be the best time to propagate them and you will have a stunning display when spring comes.😊
Hi Emily, thank you for sharing! I have one big head of Mardi gras, but do you think it's not the right time to cut it now as we are heading into summer? Thank you 😘
Hi Siew it’s best to do it in autumn around second week when the weather cool down. I noticed that it’s already growing so slow now.have a good day Siew
Hi Yake, after I got my succulent plants from online seller I usually soak it first in a seasol seaweed solution to hydrate it just for few hours then plant it in potting mix.
thank you for this idea. if you got the plant during its dormant season or summer, after repotting your aeonium, do you water it as usual like after 2 weeks or is there an indication for aeonium when to water it during summer. super thanks for your immediate response.
Hi Donna , I’m from South Australia sorry if I haven’t mentioned my exact location 🇦🇺 but I avoid to mention my exact location and address in my videos for privacy and safety reasons.😊 Thank you for dropping by and watching my videos. I really appreciate it a lot🤗
Ems I have 3 small special aonieums, a madi gras, an inferno and a sunburst they are so wimpy I'm not sure they would take this sort of treatment, should I pot them up and add some Epson salts I'd like to get them bigger and healthier first I think.
Hi Denis wait until your Aeonium a little bit bigger and healthier before you beheaded it. And yes repot it to a slighter bigger pot and you can mix a little bit of Epsom salt in the soil. Winter and spring time will be their growing season.
