I’ve never heard of Forgotten Realms so all the books you showed were completely new to me! I love seeing people’s collections and their passions for them 👍 great video!
I’m assuming that given your love for Forgotten Realms you are a player of DnD table top? Would enjoy hearing about your gaming experiences. How long you’ve played, particular campaigns, favorite class….
I’m almost certainly going to have a FR book be a buddy read one of these months. Likely it will be Shadowdale, book one of the Avatar series that I showed first here.
I like him. He is quirky but after reading the first in his series I allreciated him more. I’ve liked his role as a Sage mentor. And honestly I like Ed Greenwood himself who is very similar to El in some ways, I have a hard time separating them sometimes.
I’ve been wanting to start DnD novels for a while now, I’m up for a buddyread any time, I already have the first book of the avatar series. And thx for destroying my list of series to start I basically added everything you mentioned
I blitzed through the "first" three Drizzt books and then hit Crystal Shard and reaaaally didn't like it - it really does suffer 😅. Stoked to reattempt the series and try some other Forgotten Realms!!
@@LiamsLyceumi was super iffy on the icewind dale trilogy as a whole, i feel like i like dark elf trilogy and then it kinda hops to hunter’s blade for second favorite

Thank you! There are a lot more FR books than these. They’re not great literature but fun, often pulpy books.

That's not a bad idea, I'll see what I can do
Mmmmmm, tasty tasty Forgotten realms :)
Indeed. Try the zzar
Nice collection. I've only read the Drizzt and Cleric books.

Great collection. What's your view on Elminster as a whole?

You’re welcome! Yes, we’ll have to read the first Avatar book together for sure. I’ll let you know when I’m ready.

The two after Crystal Shard are the best of his works I’ve read so far! More Forgotten Realms is good 😌
That's awesome to hear! I guess he evolved quickly!
